A Word from an ex Student!

Advantages: Easy money, financial support when you can't really support yourself
Disadvantages: Interest really mounts up, repayments swallow up payments for things that you should be considering after uni i.e. nice house, decent holidays

Review of Scottish Education Authority Student Loan (SAAS)

It didn't benefit me at all.

Advantages: A 'wage' for students.
Disadvantages: Everything else.

Having just qualified from doing a 3-year nursing training ocurse at my local University, I was glad to be a much higher wage. The bursary that student nurses are offered is appaling, but the only thing that we can do at the moment is ask for more.
