...of these or a similar Pioneer product? I think not. I believe the advantages of the Allen & Heath Xone series outweigh Pioneer's mixers. Even so, I will still have a place in my heart for the DJM-500 as it was my very first mixer. At almost 10 years old one can look at the mixer and tell that it is old. Many people want the smaller stylish mixers but this mixer has served the bar faithfully since the day we opened in 2000 and has been put through the grinder in tests to break it. The cross fader is a dream when you are running two seperate single disc cd players and the fine tuning on the sound is acceptable even though you do not have as much choice as the newer boards give you.
