Stuff magazine is a great read, but can depress you also due to some of the pricey goodies they feature! As my title goes, ( and the mag's front says) it is the best of everything.
Stuff is a cross between T3, FHM, Edge and any PC magazine. Essentially this monthly Haynet publication is a showcase for all the latest gadgets and goodies that you can buy or at least you aspire to buy!
I’ll take you through a sample ... ...
Hot Stuff is a round-up of the most newest kit out. It could be a PDA, CD player, DVD, car, camera, PC, Mac, well anything really. If it is desirable and brand new, expect to find out about it in this bit.
Classic Stuff focuses on something brilliant from the past that was once cool. Or is still is cool, as this issue features Pac Man. A timeless classic don’t you think?

Stuff is a cross between T3, FHM, Edge and any PC magazine. Essentially this monthly Haynet publication is a showcase for all the latest gadgets and goodies that you can buy or at least you aspire to buy!
I’ll take you through a sample issue. The format is the same each month.
The front page always features a scantily clad young lady, and on the issue I have with me at the moment, she has a Casio PDA tucked into her leather trousers! Seriously though, a great selling point, and clearly pitches the mag at the 18-30 man.
Future Stuff is another showcase, but clearly of the gadgets and toys that you can’t buy yet. Each month the writers will furiosuly dig around for the most newest kit and will tell you all about it. Half the stuff will never see the light of day, due to cost implications etc, but a lot of the items will become available for sure.
I am always well-informed about the future from this section, and it excites me to see what I can look forward to in the technological world.
Each issue has a number of features/reviews. These focus in on a particular item or gadget. It could be a range of cars, budget pc’s, top spec laptops, digital cameras, DVD players, trainers, watches, and so on. Even household items feature occasionally, such as the sexiest fridges or the cleverest cookers!
Basically each month a number of different items are reviewed in depth, and are rated accordingly. I like the fact that they include items over a good price range, so whether you're earning £150 a week or £1000 a week there should be something within reach.
The Buyers Guide is a sort of compilation of all the reviews that have been done. 50 categories are featured, with 10 "one line" reviews in each. The Hot Buy is featured at the bottom, and is the best of the bunch according to the Stuff team.
Again, they ensure the whole price range is covered. For instance the Hot Laptops section ranges from the Umax Actionbook 345T at £940 to the Compaq Presario 1800 XL182 at a stonking £2600! Obviously the spec’s between each will vary immensely, but at a glance in each category you get a feel for what is best for you pocket.
Adverts through the mag are of a reasonable number, and are relevant to the magazine, so they are actually looked at!
The blokes magazine obligatory adverts of chat lines, stag parties, fake ID, and so on is always somewhere towards the back.
The magazine is produced on quality paper, on the downside is a little thin compared to say FHM.
Still, all in all, a very good read, and more accessible than its nearest couterpart on the shelf which is T3.
Advantages: Goriously photographed gadgets which you can spend hours looking at Disadvantages: Monotonous format
...Week ago, I was a stuff virgin; now, I am the proud owner of issue 88, July 2006! Ok, so here's why I bought it in the first place. One of my friends from school always new about gadgets and technology, and he said he bought stuff, so I though I'd give a good. In a way, I'm glad I did, but on the other hand, I was a bit disappointed. Here's my review.
Key Facts:
What is it? - A magazine about gadgets
Price - £3.80
Freebies? - Always some free ... ...online. Most good newsagents stock Stuff though, but if not; you can either get it from town or get them to order it for you.
Price and Packaging:
As said before, this cost £3.80. This is the price you pay anywhere if you buy in the shops. However, you can subscribe to Stuff online, meaning you end up saving a total of 27%. You pay for one year, 12 issues, and it cost you £33.29 instead of £45.60. Why subscribe I hear you ask? Well, apart from ...

...of info for me is Stuff Magazine.
This magazine showcases the latest gadgets that have been released or are about to be released and covers anything that would traditionally be regarded as a boys toy. In fact apart from my review of the microwave oven and the Micheal Crichton book, everything I've purchased (and subquently reviewed) first came to my attention via Stuff Magazine.

The magazine itself is colourful and glossy. Each month it presents the results of 4 or 5 tests where they take a range of similar products and compare them with each other and rate them in terms of functionality, value for money etc. The rating is done objectively in my opinion. e.g. they do not automatically rate expensive gadgets as the best. Articles that are about particular ...

Advantages: Interesting, Entertaining and Thought Provoking Disadvantages: Some of the Celebrity Guests can be annoying
I have been watching The Wright Stuff for about a year now. It is on Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 10:30am on Five and it is repeated on Five Life on the same day from 11:00am - 12:30am.
----------
The Show
----------
The Wright Stuff is a current issues review show and is a usually lighthearted look at topics that are currently making the news. However in its lightheartedness it does not ridicule topics as they are taken seriously and discussed thoroughly. The topics up for discussion are commented on by Matthew Wright, Three celebrity guests, The studio audience and viewers at home. Viewers at home can ring in, text or email their views and opinions on a topic.
-------------
The Layout
-------------
The layout for the show is the show host Matthew Wright sitting at a desk with three celebrity guests, Two of which are ...
Advantages: Free with the licence Disadvantages: have I seen it all before
*** THE PROGRAMME ***
The Wright Stuff presented by Matthew Wright in the morning at various times about 9.00 am on C5 for approximately 1 hour. Mr Wright sits at a desk and 3 or 4 regular guests sit opposite along another and discuss topical news items, these guests change regularly examples include Lowry, Julia Bradbury (on time co - presenter of C5s now defunct Exclusive). Often viewers phone in and are invited to comment or question the guests and Steve about current issues.
*** MY OPINION ***
With all due respect to Matthew Wright the programme is rather low grade, which is probably reflected in its morning broadcast time, I?d almost certainly describe it as filler. The items for discussion are very topical and often covered by the tabloids in that week. The commentators tend to be rather like caricatures presenting ...
Advantages: great topical debates Disadvantages: Matthew Wright
? does this fool not realise that his audience, both in the studio and at home, are mainly not at work? Does he not realise that he is actually slating his own audience? the people that are his bread and butter at the end of the day? let's face it, no viewers, no rating, no Wright stuff?.
If the producers could change the name and replace this obnoxious oaf with a real entertainer then this show could possibly reach other heights? maybe even channel four may be interested?(LOL).. But whilst this joker is hosting the show I do feel that it will always be an early morning time filler? a professional host should be more impartial and not be so rude, especially to the general public who watch his show?.
But don't take my word for it, watch it yourself and make up your own mind about the show and the host? ...
