Brilliant hair product

Advantages: last for ages, natural products
Disadvantages: none

I love aveda and have been using their products for a number of years. Their are all made from natural plant extracts and smell lovely. I use this product to style my very short hair. I apply it to wet hair, spike into shape and just leave it. I dont dry it off. It holds the style all day and as stated earlier smells very nice. It is not an aerosol, the spring inside the top whips up the liquid to create the mousse. It is a light mousee but gives ...
...I have only ever purchased Aveda from QVC. The phomollient ususally comes in a two pack and depending on the offer starts at £14 for two. You can get Aveda at large high street stores such as Harvey Nicholls and Fenwicks but I dont know the price. It is not on QVC,s website at the moment, but you contact them as they often hold it as a stock item. ...

Review of Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam

For when I want a bit more oomph!

Advantages: Flexible hold
Disadvantages: sticky if too much applied

I have been using this product for about 10 years so it must be good! I started using it many moons ago when i had permed hair as its gave lovely definintion to my curls. When the perm went I carried on using the super sculpt, its great for when I want more movement and a liitle oomph (also known as body!)as I do get fed up with the usual poker straight do! I have the 250ml bottle which cost about £8-9. Here is what it says on the bottle; "For ...

Review of Paul Mitchell Super Sculpt

Works good for me...

Advantages: strong hold
Disadvantages: sticky

I normally pop into Boots in the morning when waiting for my bus to work. I really like the Boots offers and the events. And the best thing buying the products from Boots is, you get the Advantage Card points which is the best you can get. So, you end up pampering yourself for absolutely free :) I rarely use hair spray, so I decided to go for Boots hair spray to give a try. IT was a great deal, the firm is presumably good and you can easily brush ...

Review of Boots Styleworks Body Pump Volumising Gel Spray

Not exactly Cherly Cole, but quite close..

Advantages: Some volume, pleasant smell, not sticky, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Doesn't last very long, could do with a little more volume.

I was on the search for something to make me look like Cheryl Cole because I absolutely LOVE her big hair and her makeup, and her accent. The accent failed and I'm still working on the makeup, but the hair I almost managed to pull off. (Btw, I'm kidding about the accent, that would just be going a little far) Packaging I really like the packaging because the colour really stands out, part of the reason I got this one. It is a lime ...
...basic info like 'Body and Volume' 'Long-lasting, volume, healthy-looking hair' 'Extra-strong hold' Use It is very easy to use, the can isn't too big or small, it's not fiddly. I put some under a layer of hair at the root, where i wanted the volume. It felt quite sticky when I rubbed it in a little, but once I'd blow-dried it with a roller brush, it was soft. the smell was lovely, very fruity and sweet. Results The volume ...

Review of Garnier Fructis Spectacular Volume Mousse

The only product for my curls

Advantages: Revives curls, doesn't dry out hair, no alcohol
Disadvantages: The pump sometimes breaks off turning mousse into liquid

...barely has any shape. Before John Frieda frizz ease mousse, I had to use curling tongs to actually get my hair to look nice. However, ever since I tried this mousse it's been my faithfull companion for years. The product was recommended to me by another friend who also has curly hair. Her hair is much more curly then mine so I thought that nothing could help me. But I decided to give it a go. The directions said: "apply to damp hair" and I did. After ...
...that. The great thing about John Frieda is that it's readily available from high street stores such as boots and supermarkets and considering what it does, it's not a huge price to pay - around £3.95. The bottle itself comes in a 200ml packaging, but I think there's a bigger one too. The great thing about this product is that it contains no alcohol, which is great for curly hair. The slightly negative thing about the packaging is that the part where ...
