The only thing worse than never having driven the Scoob is to have driven one and have it taken away.
I spent 7 glorious months at the wheel of this monster and I loved every second.Yes, it cost a bomb to feed but when you floor it, you fight to stop yourself laughing at the sheer power and the sound of the jet taking off.
People who know cars trun and stare. People who don't laugh and point at the spoiler on the boot.Once you get in, you know you are at the heart of something special. You don't plonk yourself in, you ease yourself in gently making tiny adjustments so you are ready for what is about to happen when you turn the key. You feel like Michael Atherton watching Courtney Walsh tearing towards him.
With the first gurgle of the exhaust, you can't help but want to give the accelerator a little dip just to hear that engine bark.On the road, there is nothing to touch it. You really feel like you can take any bend at any speed and what is normal to you can scare the bejeezers out of passengers. Not because you are tempted into driving it badly, but the limits on this car will rarely be appraoched by normal drivers. The astounding braking is just as impressive as the phenomenal acceleration.
It's a driver's car. The whole thing is quite bare and harsh but the value for money you get with that engine under the bonnet is something else. Who needs aircon when you can bid goodbye to any spotty Escort driving boy racer within seconds?Mine went back when I left an old job. If I had the money, I'd buy one today but not a new one. The previous model just said 'You lookin' at me?' whereas the new one seems to say nothing at all.

These are some of the reasons why I want one, but the fuel economy worries me more than a little. Some more details would be useful. Sam.
