Advantages: Shiny, long lasting, great coverage..low price
Disadvantages: shades in brochure are deceiving, older formula drying on lips

.... The shade was like a rosy pink colour and was very flattering on my newly tanned skin (medium/tan complexion). The lip colour did cover like a lipstick which was great for coverage purposes but was also quite drying on the lips. The texture was very smooth and silky, rather than sticky like conventional glosses. I was very happy with the texture, as well as the lasting power of the gloss. I did have to reapply every few hours but nothing in comparison to my other lip shades which barely last an hour. I didn't like the drying effects of the lip colour, but the smooth texture was nice. Since i purchased these lip colours, Avon has come out with a new moisturizing formula with vitamins A, C and E, which would probably prevent the drying effect that i encountered. ...I was looking for something to spend my Boots points on, when I came across Maybelline Pure Blush in Silky Peach. A lovely peachy shade that's ideal for pale-skinned girls like myself. The blusher comes in a plastic silver pot with a clear lid that you screw off. To access the brush and mirror, you simply find the arrow on the side and twist the container open. The mirror is an ok size, but the brush is tiny and I don't reccommend you use it, unless you favour the red indian look! The shade is chose is Sliky Peach and this would suit anybody I reckon as it's a mid-peach shade with just the tiniest bit of shimmer. They also do other shades in pinks and browns. ...Continuing my “portfolio of Lancôme reviews” I simply could not help writing about this product because as simple as it is, your face will always benefit if you use it. Blush Subtil… Beautiful name that sounds like a whisper with a lightness of a wing of a butterfly. This is exactly how it feels when you apply this silky blusher. A light stroke of a brush caressing your skin and leaving just a hint of colour. Just like the eye shadow palettes I already told you about, this blusher comes in a stylish black lacquered box wrapped in a soft silvery tissue and packed in a silver paper box with Lancôme logo on it.
