We have used this quite a lot. I bought it for my wife to let her listen to the baby. Like many (probably most) women who are pregnant, she had become concerned that baby was not kicking enough and the trips to the midwife helped a lot. But between visits, the concerns reappeared. So, having the listening system to hand let her listen to baby whenever she wanted.

We have used this quite a lot. I bought it for my wife to let her listen to the baby. It also has two outputs so we can both listen to baby together which is really lovely.
The box suggests that it may not work effectively before 21 weeks and, from memory, this was pretty much when I bought it. Having said that, we could easily hear him/her straight away.
One word of warning - do not get concerned if you cannot hear anything - our experience is that (s)he has probably moved somewhere else! So you just need to move the device closer to the baby.
There are many baby listening devices for sale and most of them are very expensive. This one is widely available and, in June 2008, cost under £30 - which is a small price for being able to listen to your baby and get piece of mind. Probably the best baby thing we have bought so far!

As an expectant mum and after having that first scan where you see your baby for the first time and hearing the heart beat for the first time, you want to do it again and again. Your can hear your pulse on your finger if you try and hold it down but you can't hear your baby. This can get you a bit anxious and worried to start but then you might it in the right spot at the right time and you will hear that little beat going, and even see them trying to get away from it or kick it! After trying for several days we decided to buy an Angelsounds fetal dopler.
Found heart beat straight away at 15wk but when we used this product straight after we couldnt find heart beat.
