Excellent monitor

Advantages: great clear picture
Disadvantages: bulky parents unit, interferes with wifi

This is am excellent baby video monitor with a very clear picture, especially the night picture which works perfectly well even when the baby's room is completely dark. A good feature is that you can turn off the display screen (say when sleeping yourself) but turn it on again just by touching the top. The only drawback is that the parent unit is quite bulky. It is portable though, but not small enough to carry about with you as you do tasks, but easy enough to move from room to room. It's also worth noting that any wireless equipment you use in your home may affect the signal, though the manufacturer does say that you can contact your wireless internet provider for different settings. A fantastic product for the price. ...

Bt digital baby monitor plus

Advantages: Lullaby's, Intercom
Disadvantages: Battery life is not very good, night light feature also a little poor

I brought the BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus about two years ago from Argos priced £69.79. I have had other baby monitors in the past but this design is by far the best as it has many useful functions. It is quite pricey but you will not be disappointed once you have it, mine is on all day everyday. The monitor comes as two separate unit?s the larger one is for the nursery ideally near the cot and the parent handset which I keep down stairs. Both are connected to the mains and the parent handset has re-chargeable batteries (2x AA supplied). The parent handset has a 50 metres indoor range and 300m range for when you are on the move around the house it comes complete with a belt clip to fasten it safely to your waist band. The area of range was essential for me when my little one was newborn. It meant I could keep an ear on him while I ...

BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus - delighted!

Advantages: Intercom feature, temperature indicator, crystal clear sound, sensitive, good looks, light indicator, adjustable volume
Disadvantages: some unnecessary features e.g. nightlight

As a BT digital phone owner, it struck me that the same technology could be used in a baby monitor, and lo and behold those clever people at BT have gone and done it. While looking into Baby Monitors it seemed to me that you can have a basic (non-digital) model for around £20, or you can go over £100 for the video option, but as someone who wanted an 'in-between' option I plumped for the BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus which retails for around £70. What I absolutely wanted from my monitor was crystal clear sound, and a temperature indicator on the parent unit. This is exactly what I got and more. To be honest I don't bother with the nightlight or the range of lullabies, but the other feature I find useful is the light indicators - useful for when I've got my hairdryer on for example! When the indicator flashes into the red then you ...
