I have tried several different video monitors and have ended up sending them all back - except this one, it is the only one that has worked in my house (old thick walls).
The monitor is quite bulky and the camera doesn't pan or tilt but the overall quality compared to ... ...better. Very important info - one thing that caused a lot of interferance was my hubby's xbox - the moment I turned it off, the picture and sound became crystal clear - with it plugged in, static and rolling screen. Also some wifi routers operate on the same frequency as most monitors so may also interfere. ... more

This is am excellent baby video monitor with a very clear picture, especially the night picture which works perfectly well even when the baby's room is completely dark. A good feature is that you can turn off the display screen (say when sleeping yourself) but turn it on again just by touching the top.
The only drawback is that the parent unit is quite bulky. It is portable though, but not small enough to carry about with you as you do tasks, but ...
