Ah, summer, a distant memory when we relaxed in the garden, newspaper in one hand, beer in the other. Review of Hop Back Summer Lightning

Those lazy hazy days of Summer.

Advantages: A good strong bitter.
Disadvantages: Not available everywhere, but this is changing.

?t like. We have quaffed such delights as Pendle Witches Brew, Orkney Skullsplitter and Merlin?s ale. One of my favourites and a good one to try is Hop Back Summer Lightning. Summer Lightning is primarily a Summer Ale, but it is brewed all year and can be enjoyed at any time (in fact I would recommend drinking it as often as possible). It has won many awards at Camra ? The Real ale Society- (and many local) Beer Festivals, and I think it is well worthy of the praise it receives. It even took the prize for Best Strong Bitter at the Great British Beer Festival in 1992 ? 1993, and it has won around 40 awards since it was first brewed in 1988. Hop Back Summer Lightning, as its full name suggests, is produced by the Hop Back Brewery, which started up in 1986. The brewery was founded by John and Julie Gilbert in Salisbury ...

Three nights in the Ramada Jarvis!

Advantages: The whole experience was an advantage.

Having just returned from what I class as a well deserved break I thought I would write about the Hotel me and my family have just returned from. I decided at the last minute really that I would book us a weekend away and began to surf the net as you do looking for not only a bargain but a nice place to stay to boot. The place I eventually chose with the help of my fiancé was the Ramada Jarvis hotel in Brighton, I have never stayed in a hotel in Brighton before having only visited once previously and having stayed in a bed and breakfast so I cannot compare it to other hotels in the Brighton area but I can compare it to other hotels throughout Britain and indeed Europe as I am fairly well travelled.
