...my first dvd recorder.With the sumvision i get value for money with some useful features from this model.My favourite features are it can record on + or - disks so you don't have to worry about buying the right ones and it will also play divx disks which is a bonus on this price range.The only problem i have encountered is that the remote does sometimes feel sluggish when i press a key there does sometimes seem to be a slight delay,but overall playback,features ... .../>
benefits- dvd+r/rw or dvd-r/rw(flexibility to use either)
divx/xvid capable(no need to convert avi files into dvd format you can fit more video onto a dvd in divx format without to much loss of quality)
built in tuner-this model has it's own built in tuner so you can record one channel while you watch another(this feature is ideal if you record on a timer,you can set it to record over say seven days on different ... more

quality setting-you can change the quality setting to six different settings ranging from the best quality which will put about 1 hours worth of footage on a dvd disk to the lowest quality which will allow you to put 6 hours worth of footage onto one dvd disk(i have used this setting it is ok if you are struggling for space but i would not recommend its use for special memories like weddings and such)
timer record function- allows you to set the unit to record up to seven days in advance
s-video connectors on the front panel-ideal for connecting external devices like camcorders without having to access the back of the unit
remote control-control all playback and record features allows access to setting,tuning and timer menu's
two rear scart connectors-allows connection to tv and sat/freeview.
