Advantages: Looks, Airflow, Ease of Use Disadvantages: Durability of the front panel door
...After searching high and low for a case that looked right and could house a full atx board, I found this one. This is a great case which is *quite* durable.
Installing my ASUS p5b delux motherboard in this case was very straight forward. All the holes were positioned correctly and the standoffs went in perfectly.
The connectors for the front panel were used for USB and audio. These connections are behind a little slide down door which makes it easy to hide or show them. But I had a little problem with this slide down door. After moving it a few times all of a sudden I heard a snap! To my amazement, the part of the door that keeps the door shut had broken away. Therefore, I can no longer close this door, without it sliding back down. This is a very minor thing though, and I'm not too fussed.
The motherboard connectors...

Advantages: NEBS compliant, 1U Ultra SCSI disk cage. Disadvantages: EOL was 2002
...Here we have a handy little 1U disk cage, which will take up to three Ultra SCSI drives. Oh, and it's NEBS compliant, so you can put in datacenters and telephone exchanges.
SCSI ports -
Two single-ended ports, 68-pin SCSI connector - Can be daisy chained via port (2 max in a chain)
Power -
The disk cage can be powered by AC or DC power. (I used the AC model) which has an auto sensing power supply - takes 100 to 240 VAC. There is also a DC model, to go with the Netra range... The DC model will take -48 to -60 VDC.
Drives -
The drives are inserted at the front of the 19" rack mounted unit, SCA disks, on Sun SPUD type brackets. The SCSI bays are either ID 2,3&4 or 10,11&12 which is flexible enough if you have to chain two together.
Uses -
People will find these most useful as a chassis to put boot disks in...

Advantages: USB FRONT AND BACK Disadvantages: Fitting For Novices
...Now this is similar to the other Trust Front USB panel review I have done. However with this product we find an additional USB PCI card. Ok so what does that mean to me I ask you hear. Well basically with the other front panel you had to have existing USB ports on the back of your machine and use those for the panel with a link through lead. With this one you install a new USB card into a spare PCI slot (the long white slot inside your motherboard) and then run an internal cable to the front panel. This then means you have an additional two ports on the back for products such as an ADSL modem and printer that would be permanently connected, while you also gain three ports on the front for various other products that you may want to remove from time to time or just plug in now and then such as a digital camera or a joystick. All...
