Anyway, this monitor performed brilliantly - it uses a Mitsubishi Diamondtron Natural Flat 22" tube, of which 20" are visible. On my Matrox G450, it displayed all resolutions up to and including 1600x1200 with perfect clarity, and even managed 1920x1440 without too much degradation of quality, although you probably wouldn't want to use it in that state for long. I couldn't get it running comfortably at 2048x1536, but it would be a good resolution to dip in and out of, say previewing high megapixel images from a digital camera for instance.
It performed less well on the other cards I tested it with, not the fault of the monitor, but the card driving it. My PowerColor Radeon 9000 Pro managed 1600x1200, but anything above that looked pretty awful, my old no-name GeForce 2mx turned in a similar result, although a truly ancient S3 Trio pleasantly...

Advantages: Great Picture Quality and Great Value Disadvantages: Heavy, Large Backend, 1280 Max Res
...With the ever increasing demand for TFT (thin film transistor) LCD monitors the price and demand for CRT(cathode ray tube) has dramatically increased. Therefore it wouldn't have been unusual for me to capitalise on an opportunity like this by purchasing a nice, cheap CRT monitor. On the market there are 2 types of computer monitors you can purchase, these are CRT and TFT. CRT stands for Cathod Ray Tube, the glass portion of any traditional monitor. Operates by shooting electrons through a screen which enables images to be projected on the back of a phosphorescent coating on the screen. CRT monitors are the computer monitor equivalent to tube televisions of yester year. The other type of monitor on the market are TFT monitors which are a type of LCD flat-paneldisplay screen where each pixel is controlled by transistors. This technology...

Advantages: 1600 x 1200 x 32-bit TrueColour. Disadvantages: None ; could always be cheaper though :-)
...ports on the side of the screen, plus two more underneath alongside the graphic inputs which weren’t present on the 19” model.
Runs 1600 x1200x 32-bit True Colour resolution without any issues that I have found so far. Also seems happy plugged in to a KVM and switching between different screens.
Small thing; the data panel which lists the model number etc. is positioned such that when a DVI or VGA connector is plugged in, the cable obscures the information. Could be placed elsewhere, IMO....
