...The Samsung SCX-4100 is a good black-and-white laser printer but lacks on the copier + scanner .
i only use it to print off letters or long docements as the pics come out ok but i prefer to use my colour printer for pics.
the SCX-4016 i think is better but it costs around £60 more .
what i have found with the printer is that it can print up to 15 pages per minute
The SCX-4100 is compatible with Linux but not with Macs which is a downside but still It offers good-quality printing, poor scanning and standalone copying which is useful
the toners cost's about £40 - £50
That makes the SCX-4100 the bargain choice in my mind

Advantages: Stand alone copying feature Disadvantages: It got updated very quickly.

The printer operates at 45 db, so isn't too noisy.
The printer comes with the drivers for computers that go back as far as Windows 98. These are the minimum specifications required:
Windows 98/ME: Pentium 233MHz; 64MB RAM; 40MB HDD Space
Windows 2000: Pentium 233MHz; 64MB RAM; 70MB HDD Space
Windows XP: Pentium 233MHz; 256MB RAM; 70MB HDD Space
Macintosh OS 9.1: PowerPC G3; 64MB RAM; 60MB HDD Space
Macintosh OS X 10.2 or later: PowerPC G3; 128MB RAM; 60MB HDD Space
And these are the recommended:

this is a nice little mp3 player which has excellent sound quality.
256mb hold around 70 songs for me but you can also use it to hold documents so you can transfer them from computer to computer
