...Here we have a handy little 1U disk cage, which will take up to three Ultra SCSI drives. Oh, and it's NEBS compliant, so you can put in datacenters and telephone exchanges. SCSI ports - Two single-ended ports, 68-pin SCSI connector - Can be daisy chained via port (2 max in a chain) Power - The disk cage can be powered by AC or DC power. (I used the AC model) which has an auto sensing power supply - takes 100 to 240 VAC. There is also a DC model, to go with the Netra range... The DC model will take -48 to -60 VDC. Drives - The drives are inserted at the front of the 19" rack mounted unit, SCA disks, on Sun SPUD type brackets. The SCSI bays are either ID 2,3&4 or 10,11&12 which is flexible enough if you have to chain two together. Uses - People will find these most useful as a chassis to put boot disks... Read review

Advantages: Cheap entry level Sun SPARC from 1997
Disadvantages: Build quality is PC like, and low cache processors

...The Sun UltraSPARC 5 workstation was brought out in 1997, and was priced so you could have one on your desk for approx 1000 US Dollars. They stopped shipping to customers in May 2002. These days, it is not a fast machine, but still they are perfectly useable for many workstation and server tasks. Processor and Memory - This model has an UltraSPARC IIi processor which is, of course, 64 bit and is clocked at 360 MHz. You can have 1GB of memory in the workstation, installed as up to 4 DIMMS, which must be installed in pairs. "Normal" PC memory will not work in these workstations. The 260MHz model only has 256kB cache (same with the 270MHz processor) For better performance, you need the 2MB cache version on the 333 or 400MHz versions. Advantages: functions, colour scheme, durability
Disadvantages: quite large

...This keyboard is very good when using with Sun servers, it has a colour scheme of purple and grey which is the scheme of sun systems. It is functional with great soft press buttons, it has a dynamic curved shape for ease of use and allows quick typing. The buttons are shaped to allow easy access and very well manufactured. I would doubt you could break these buttons easily in ehen working. The board also has the traditional num lock and caps and scroll lock lights in a blue shade to tell you when these functions are in use. It also incorperates seperate internet, email and search buttons for the modernday server access for internet usage. There are also fine touches with a + and a volume control which reduces the use of the mouse in this instance. The keyboard is well made and very light in weight so in unconfertoble positions...
