Miscellaneous
Compliant Standards: RoHS
Pricing Type: Sun External Assemble-to-Order (XATO)
Advantages: Cheap entry level Sun SPARC from 1997 Disadvantages: Build quality is PC like, and low cache processors
...The SunUltraSPARC 5 workstation was brought out in 1997, and was priced so you could have one on your desk for approx 1000 US Dollars. They stopped shipping to customers in May 2002. These days, it is not a fast machine, but still they are perfectly useable for many workstation and server tasks.
Processor and Memory -
This model has an UltraSPARC IIi processor which is, of course, 64 bit and is clocked at 360 MHz. You can have 1GB of memory in the workstation, installed as up to 4 DIMMS, which must be installed in pairs. "Normal" PC memory will not work in these workstations. The 260MHz model only has 256kB cache (same with the 270MHz processor) For better performance, you need the 2MB cache version on the 333 or 400MHz versions.
Storage -
There is one HDD bay in the machine, although if you remove the floppy drive, you...

Advantages: Very Fast, Stock fan is not too loud Disadvantages: Further overclocking would require a better fan
...This is the fastest standard Intel Core 2 Duo you can buy, the E6850 has a 333Mhz FSB which is 1,333Mhz Effective so it has more memory bandwidth than its descendants.
The E6850 has a VID of 1.35V most of the time (some of them have a VID of 1.3v although it's uncommon) and runs slightly hotter than a E6750 with a VID of 1.3, during my tests I also noticed it is harder to overclock than an E6750 but only by a small amount, me getting the clock speeds of the E6850 up to 3.45Ghz while I managed to get the E6750 up to just under 3.65Ghz, this was just with the boxed fans that came with the processors, although if you bought custom coolers, you would get much better.
Conclusion:
While I could not get it to overclock as high as an E6750 in my tests, you could easily reach over 4Ghz if you bought good enough cooling for it, however...

Advantages: excellant speed for gaming Disadvantages: not compatible to all mother boards
...AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3GHzprocessor is very fast and reliable when compared to other processors which is more costly.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3GHzprocessor is very reliable when we use graphic softwares like photoshop or when we play 3D games which are very resource gulping.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3GHzprocessor will not lag or make you wait when we use large sized digital photos when downloading form digital cameras.I put this into the first computer i built.
It can run vertually anything with ease. I am using windows vista x64 ultimate with it, and i have 4GB ram. recommended to anyone. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3GHzprocessor heat systrm is excellent which will not produce heat easly.
The computer with AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ / 3GHzprocessor is my first computer and I am sing this computer for all my...

As a gamer, I needed the best processor out there. Searching around, the only real debate in this price range was whether to go for the E6850, a dual core CPU, or the Q6600, a quad core at a lower clock. After looking at many different benchmarks and... more
