I have coloured brunette hair with blond highlights, I have been colouring my hair for years so it's not in the best of conditions. I normally like to use a thick leave in conditioner or a masque type conditioner as my hair is somewhat coarse. This was on a buy one get one free offer in Superdrug, so having been pleased with the shampoo; I decided to avert my eyes from the John Frieda conditioner and onto Sunsilk.
THE PACKAGING: The tube is almost identical to the shampoo tube. It is presented in a tube with a flip top cap at the bottom, for the ease of use in the shower and for getting the last dregs of product out of the tube, which can be problematic in the shower! The tube is brown in colour, the logos and claims are in white. It features a cartoon image of a ladies head with brown hair. The only difference between the shampoo and conditioner bottled as far as I can see is that 'Conditioner' in written in brown on a white background.
THE SMELL: The flip top is easy to open with quick wrist action, the smell is fine, it is not overpowering and nothing offence about the smell. It smells like cinnamon & nutmeg. I found it reminded me of when you go into an alternative shop as Christmas and the smell of incense. The smell is fine though as it is not too overpowering although I can see it would not be to everyone's taste.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: If you have read my review on the shampoo, you may remember that there was no 'Directions for Use' on the bottle and this annoyed me. Again, this bottle has no directions on it; it simply says 'Just in case, here's a reminder of directions for use. After shampooing, apply evenly through your hair then rinse'. Yes I know this is simple and anyone should be able to condition their hair but I'd really like to know if best results are achieved if you leave the conditioner on for a few minutes or if you can get better result by leaving it on, wrapping your hair in a towel etc, a bit more information would not go amiss here and it would be better if it were clear too, at present it is hidden amongst product jargon.
USING THE CONDITIONER: I used the conditioner after shampooing my hair with the shampoo from the range.
I normally use quite a lot of conditioner as my hair is thick and long, this is normally about three times the size of a £2 coin.
On pouring this out, I noticed how thin this cream coloured conditioner felt, it really did not feel much thicker than single cream consistency and as a result, I lost 75% of it in the shower cubicle before it even reached my hair. I also noticed there was not much of a fragrance once the conditioner was out of the tube. On attempt two, I decided to use less conditioner but use it in two/three goes. I used an amount similar to a 50p piece and ran the conditioner through my hair with my fingers, this amount of conditioner reached down to ear level. It felt nice on and not at all heavy. Again I used 2 more 50p sizes and covered my whole head.
I rinsed it out after leaving it on for 1 minute, which is my normal routine. The conditioner clung to my hair quite emphatically, the rinse out, with warm water, took over 7 minutes as the conditioner would not rinse out, in the end I braved a freezing cold shower head for 3 minutes to aid the rinsing out. After a total of 10 minutes, I think I had rinsed out 95% of the conditioner and by this time I really wasn't bothered about the last 5%.
I towel dried my hair as per normal. I noticed my hair smelt of the cinnamon but only very delicately. My hair felt OK, not at all brittle, coarse but I did notice it had retained a lot of water which is unusual for me.
I then proceeded to brush through my hair but I found a lot of tugs and knots which when I use a thicker conditioner, isn't an issue. After brushing my hair felt OK, although my head was a bit sore from pulling the brush through!
AFTER STYLING: I have been using my straigteners of late. I noticed that after my hair was straightend, my hair was soft, silky and very shiny, with the brunette very much emphasized. It felt in very good condition and I was pleasantly surprised by this as I really felt it had not been as good as my normal conditioner and I felt it was too thin to do any good. Also, there was no greasiness either, which some cheap conditioners can leave behind on the roots.
My only very minor grumble is that it has no anti frizz properties in it and my roots looked a bit frizzy but that is easily sorted with a serum or application of hairspray.
THE VERDICT: I am very pleased over all, OK, it may not be the best conditioner on the market today but for the price range it is in, it certainly gets my vote.
My only complaints would be that directions for use need to be clearer, the consistency could do with being thicker so that there is less wasted conditioner going down the plug hole and as a lot of conditioners are doing anti frizz properties, this brand may need to offer this in their colour collection as it will struggle to keep up in the marketplace without it in future.
As with the shampoo, the conditioner is a great, cheaper alternative to the normal 'professional' hairdresser brands of colour enhancing products. It won't break the bank; you quite often find this brand on BOGOF or at silly prices like 99p. I think this range would be great for anyone looking to enhance their colour without spending more than a fiver doing it. I also feel these will come on holiday with me too, even though I normally take 2 in 1.
Overall, superb conditioning for the price, may not be suitable for anyone with thicker hair than me but if your hair is of 'normal' thickness, give it a whirl, you may be surprised.
Sunsilk Deeply Brunetter conditioner can be bought in the section of shops that sell hair care and hygiene products. It is a great conditioner to keep your brunetter hair feeling soft and smelling great. It is priced around £1.50 a bottle which is a great price for a conditioner that works so well. To apply this conditioner you do so in the same way that you would any other conditioner, it is easy to rinse out of your hair, try and leave it in for ... ...I noticed that my hair looked less dry and it looked like the split ends had disappeared. This conditioner works great with the Sunsilk Brunette shampoo which is also a great product to use for every day in your hair. ***Also posted on dooyoo under lorrainek858*** ...

Advantages: Leaves hair glossy and silky. Disadvantages: None
...this time. I saw the Sunsilk Deeply Brunette range was on offer so I decided to try them. I was so impressed that I may change my buying habits and stick to one brand from now on.
The conditioner comes in a distinctive dark bronze coloured tube (there are products in the range for blondes and redheads) which makes it easy to spot on the shelves. It is suitable for all shades of brunette whether natural or coloured. A 200ml tube costs in the region ... ...naturally. The result is "silky, shimmering multi-tones" - just what it says on the tube. I may try the enhancing cream, another product in the range next time I hit the shops.
I would recommend the the Sunsilk colour collection to you all and especially the deeply brunette conditioner. ...

Advantages: Reasonable price, gorgeous frangrance, shimmering and multitonal effects Disadvantages: leaves residue in your hair if not thoroughly washed out
...As with most sunsilk products, the conditioner is sold at a reasonable price, much cheaper than specialised products from other ranges. Sunsilk's deeply brunette conditioner can be used in conjunction with Sunsilk's deeply brunette shampoo though I find that by using both products together it actually leaves my hair feeling too soft!!!
The bottle states that the conditioner is for "brunettes of all shades with natural, highlighted or colour-treated ... ...of red in it, and the conditioner left my hair very radiant. I also have very thick, curly hair and the conditioner sucessfully tamed my hair and made it very manageable. The conditioner smells beautiful! It contains natural chestnut extract and judging by the scent, it also contains cinnamon. Although it's formulated for daily use, I find that this is not needed, and that I only have to use this conditioner every few days as it leaves my hair feeling ...

Advantages: Good price and value for money Disadvantages: none that iv discovered so far
iv already written a review for the shampoo but also thought the conditioner was worth a thought.
i found it jus as useful as the shampoo. has the same lovely, light fragrance. it is quite a thin shampoo which i find quite good as it means you dont need as much, goes alot further than the thicker conditioners you can buy. i found it is easy to wash out as you dont need so much in the first place. i was amazed to see the first time that i used it ... ...your hair slightly, i mean obviously your not actually dying your hair so its bound to be only subtle but over time and use i found it was ever so more obvious in the sun or in decent lighting.
it doesnt change the colour of your hair either it is merely what i presume is very small particles of glitter which are deposited on your hair. it merely makes the multi tones of your hair slightly more obvious, therefore more interesting. im not sure what ...

I recently bought a sunsilk leave in conditioner cream. It is called Sunsilk Deeply Brunette. I also have dyed my hair to a more brighter brown. okay so. in my opinion it was pretty cheap [$2.00] But it makes my hair really oily and feral.
It smells nice and is in a pretty convieniant tube. I like it and all, but i just don't like what it does to my hair. i would recommend it to people who like oily hair. I think that if it was better for my hair ...

Advantages: Cheap, Often On Offer, Great Results Disadvantages: None I have Found So Far
couldn't find anything labelled 'directions for use' on the tube. I had to look very closely within the blurb for something that resembled directions. In the end, I found a short sentence which said 'Just in case, here's a reminder of directions for use. Massage the shampoo into your wet hair, then rinse'. Not particularly clear even thought they are present somewhere.
I would have expected an instruction to repeat if necessary and to follow up with SunsilkDeeplyBrunetteConditioner.
THE SHAMPOO & THE RINSE:
I wet my hair as normal & I poured the shampoo into my hand. The shampoo is a sort of chestnut colour and is quite glittery, it looks thick and nourishing. I used a £2 coin sized piece first off. This didn't produce much of lather, so I repeated the application with a similar amount. This produces a creamy lather, lots of suds ...

The Sunsilk range doesn?t only consist of the DeeplyBrunette Shampoo there is also the Conditioner and Enhancing Cream but it really all depends on how strong you want your brunette enhancing results, I am happy with the Shampoo and sometimes conditioner. They also do a Passionately Red range for all you redheads and for blondes they do the Lively Blonde range so most are thought about. If you want further information on them go to http://www.sunsilk.co.uk and you can get more product information and styling advice.
The SunsilkDeeplyBrunette Shampoo did only cost me a pound at the time but this was on special offer but unfortunately this offer ran out. By looking on the Boots website I can say that the Shampoo costs £1.99 in shops which isn?t too big a raise from the offer I got, I?d still say it was very cheap ...
