Advantages Fun, quick game for everyone.
Disadvantages You need to like word games.
Super Boggle is the latest version of the game. Just like the others, there are cubes with letters on them, these are shaken up in the container and fitted into place on the grid. You then have 3 minutes to find as many words in the blocks (Letters must be touching in any direction). Whoever find the most words in the time limit wins the round. At the end of each round someone reads out their list of words, for every word they have found that others havn't they are given points (depending on the length of the word).
In super Boggle you get 2 grids (either side of the plastic), one to fit 16 cubes, the other 25. It is easier to play with the 5x5 grid, although all words must be 4 or more letters long, whereas with the 4X4 grid they need only be 3.In the original Boggle a sand timer was provided to count the 3 minutes in which you have to play. This was useless for me seeing as whenever we played, everyone would forget to check the timer and we'd all play for longer anyway. Super Boggle is battery opperated so that when the time is up the cube flashes and you know time is up. This is very convenient as there is no need to keep checking, it flashese for quite a long time so you wont miss it. One quibble I do have with the light, is that it flashes throughout the game as well which can get quite annoying. I don't know why it does this, it doesn't seem to have a purpose at all.
The game is for 2 or more players (as many as you can fit round the cube!) and for ages 8 to adult. If you like scrabble you'll probably like this game, but even if you don't you still might like it. Unlike most games it is very quick so you can stop after a few rounds, and only have played for 9 minutes plus reading time.I would recommend this to word game fans, it is good for all ages. If you own the original Boggle you might not want to get this, but as it has more cubes and a built in timer, for it's low price it is worth it.
Price: £7.49 from Argos.
