I had been wanting to buy this game for quite sometime and finally the other day I got round to it I kissed my three new shiny ten pound notes good bye in exchange for a little blue case and the disk which it contained and I would have to say it was worth it!

This game has Nintendo written all over it in big fat neon letters. It represents all things Nintendo and Mario. The game has got all the best features of all the Mario games and turned them into one big giant game!

The story line of the game is a shire Nintendo classic, Mario goes on holiday but when he arrives there’s a graffiti artist on the loose which looks like Mario so the real Mario has to clean up the graffiti and prove himself innocent!

The graphics on this game are great. Instead of going for the really realistic look Nintendo have made a very weird style its somewhere between cell shaded(cartoonish) and Mario64 graphics. All the environments are rounded down to the finest detail and it handles a dream!

The controls are so easy to pick up and all the different moves are extremely easy to perform and are all animated brilliantly. it’s a pleasure to watch Mario jump between buildings!

All round the game is a plat former. You run around a big 3D world and interact with just about everything and for all the die hard Nintendo fans out there they have sections like they did on the original Mario games where you have to jump from block to block as all the objects twist around each other! Classical Nintendo!

The main point of the game is to collect shine sprites which have gone missing since the Mario look alike turned up. Shine sprites are basically stars like on Mario64 and you get one when you complete a task. There are eight tasks in every level.

One of the unique things about this game is the device that Mario uses to clean up the goop and graffiti. it’s a futuristic water gun which also doubles up as a hovering, speeding and rocketing device! Its very amusing and very unique.

The sound track is classical Mario if you remember back to the SNES the them tune was that catchy beeping sound which in this game in hmmmmmeeedddd by a choir group(at least it sounds that way!)

After hearing everything I have said so far the game probably sounds quite childish and I suppose the story line and idea of it is but believe me its not easy! Certain sections of the game take much practise to complete and make you want to rip the hair from your head!

The instruction booklet is brilliant and contains all the information you need. It is bright colourful and easy to understand. However you don’t really need the instruction booklet as the game is very self explanatory!

The lifeline of the game is brilliant. It will take you ages to complete and even after that there’s no doubt you will want to dig it out again for another go!

The game is now priced £30 from certain high street shops(more expensive in others) so there’s no excuse for you not to buy it! Buy it now and spread the sunshine.

30 notes!?!, git! I paid £40 for my copy! I guess it pays to wait. This game is excellent with a huge amount of longevity collecting all the Spine Shites (wait is that the correct spelling?) Great op! Milky :)
