Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz. Roll through different courses Review with images 6 of 6 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Fun. A good simple game idea

Disadvantages not that revolutionary in my opinion.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz is made by Sega, you can play with up to 4 players, and is suitable for ages & and upwards ( but i think younger players will still be able to enjoy it safely!)

THE GAME BACKGROUND
The game centres around little monkeys in a bubble like Ball. Use the Wii remote by tilting it left, right, back and forth to direct your monkey through the tracks of different courses. All have different twists and turns!

You need to pick up bananas to gain points, but be careful! There is a time limit so you can saunter along the course. You have to make it to the check point in time to pass the level, and make sure that your "steering" is good enough that you don't fall off track.
There is a choice of playing with a number of cute little characters, like Doctor, YanYan, AiAi, MeeMee and others in either the main game, or in the party game.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz (Wii)
This is a good element to have as it adds something a little more substantial and significant to what could easily have been a trivial party game alone that is boring when played alone, and isn't very good to play in the longer term.

WHAT HAPPENS IN IT?

In the main game, you go through "normal stages", but to pass one of the entire 8 levels, you need to beat the "Boss Stage", which has been synonymous with Sega and Nintendo throughout the years and is always a classic stage which i love to see still in modern day games. The boss usually involes a giant animal of some kind, and you have to roll into them and hit them at a certain time in its angry routine to lower its life and beat it.

In the party games you can play with or without the nunchuck, depending on what game you select, so don't nworry if you never brought a nunchuck.
Just a few of the 50 party games to choose from include: Banana Catch, Bugs Balance, Free Throw and Fruit Basket. These a perfect for if you have company, and get the competetive juices flowing, however, in my experience, after a few games, people tend to get a bit bored, lose interest and disappear out of the room, but isn't this the same for most Wii party games?

The game is very responsive to the nunchuck and wii remote, although the game is very much still a challenge and very fun to play. The graphics are decent and the colours are bright, attractive and intriguing.

The ability to choose between party game mode and main game mode (story mode you could call it) gives this game something extra that the other party games on the market might lack, however it is not exactly a revolutionary or ground breaking game, but still, a decent game none the less.
Using the Wii remote to roll a ball around the TV screen is a simple idea, and sega has managed to adapt it well into game form, and have resisted the urge to over complicate the idea of the game.

Overall, i would say that this game is worth buying, it will certainly keep you, and youngsters occupied for a while.
