If I am the trailing driver, I try to keep my eyes and concentration on the gap around the kart ahead. The further ahead I apply my focus, the more successful of a driver I?ve noticed I have become. I try to think of it like a game of pool or golf; where you always need to look ahead to your next shot by trying to leave a good lie.
In karting, I need to think ahead to what gaps might be available. I focus on the gaps and take control with my driving skills. In short , to achieve this depth perception and keen awareness, these are the steps that must be followed:
? Have the right posture. I sit upright with my head firm and high so I am always looking ahead.
? Look around the corner further than usual. I Look at where I want my kart to go. I do not focus on the kart ahead of me.

a little icon of a letter inviting you when you are on the Mario Kart channel.
There are some tracks which look similar to the DS version there are some from SNES and N64 and a lot of new ones including a mine track if you have an old Nintendo like me and played Donkey Kong Country and travelled on the mines you will like this as you race on a mine track, there are bats in here which spin you off and you can also fall off the edge and be out of the game for a while while your car is recovered by crane and put back on the track. There is a beach track with crabs that you have to try and avoid and do not go too deep into the water as you will sink and need to be recovered. Also a snowy track with penguins which you must avoid, also snow deep in places and you can get stuck in the snow, if you fall into the icy water you are retrieved ...
