Advantages: Amusing, Sharon Osbourne's humour shines through what would be a boring ad! Disadvantages: people are sceptical of her motives
...shines through in the latest ASDA ad where she is filmed doing her shopping. People have been sceptical as to why someone with her fame, and money would shop at a cheap and cheeful supermarket like ASDA for the television, but in real life she had claimed to not have shopped there before. They beleive that because of this she is not a good role model, I dissagree. Up until now the ASDA ads have in my opinion been as dull as dishwater (and thats ......The beauty of getting a celeb to shop at ASDA rather then any other plain jane is it IS funny. I don't know about you but watching Sharon pat that old bloke on the bum on her way out and say "old but firm!" makes me laugh everytime! ... Read review
Advantages: Amazingly good deals Disadvantages: Not always healthy stuff, Not good for non-sale items
...haven't been into my local Iceland for about 3 months. Yes, I know they have a few 'buy one get one free' offers. Or at least they had the last time I was there (around December 2001). But I went into Iceland yesterday and my jaw dropped to the floor. Everything seemed to be on buy one get one free or buy something and get loads of something else. You could buy some chicken for example and they would give you a bag of roast potatoes, some greens ......Supernoodles were 55p! The frozen rollout shortcrust pastry was £2.50. The bag of salad was about £1.60. I reckon that Iceland is a very good place if you're happy to spend money on the sale stuff. For all other non-sale items, you're better off at Sainsbury's or Tesco. ... Read review

I have a Sainsbury approx. two hundred yards and a Tesco approx. six hundred yards from my house. For many years I chose to shop at the nearer Sainsbury store. In recent years I have seen a decline in any pleasure (all be it little to start with cos I hate shopping at the best of times) derived from the experience in my local Sainsbury. I switched to shopping at the further Tesco store and the difference on all levels is quite dramatic. I have listed ......low~~~~~~~~~~~~high HELPFULLNESS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~adequate~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~above average PRICING~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~over priced~~~~~~~~~~~~acceptable RANGE OF PRODUCTS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~adequate~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~good CHECKOUT WAITING TIME~~~~~~~~~~~~~long~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~short MANOOVARABILATY AROUND THE STORE~~restricted~~~~~~~~~~~~~good GENERAL SATISFACTION~~~~~~~~~~~~~~poor~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~above average COMPLAINT DEALING~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~poor~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~acceptable ... Advantages: None Disadvantages: They are sickening
Grrrrrrrrrrr!! Tesco ads - yes, you know the ones, with those two irritating women - mother and daughter - who need to go and GET A DAMN LIFE!! Prunella Scales (Mother) and Jane Horrocks (daughter) star in a series of these interminably maddening adverts for Tesco supermarkets and Tesco online shopping. When will that damn sulky daughter cut the strings that bind her to her interfering, molly-coddling mother's apron?! Horrocks as the daughter has ......also married/in a long term relationship - but you wouldn't know it! In every ad they are in each other's pockets, on a daily basis, with both their sad lives revolving around Tesco's, its stores, its site, its products and its bargains. What DO they find to do for the rest of the day? They are ALWAYS either shopping together or doing one another's shopping, while Horrocks sulkily tuts at her dotty mother's stupid actions and comments. It is soooooooooo ... Read review

...to check out my local Netto store to see what they were like. When I got inside, it was an Alladin's cave of cheap, good quality food. They have quite a wide range of products including fruit and veg, frozen foods, alcohol and drinks and many other useful household products. Netto's own brands are very cheap but good quality, and I found some foods to be even better quality than Sainsbury's and Tesco. Netto also sells other brands but even these ......at Netto is usually half the price of shopping at Sainsbury's. Netto is a lifeline for students but I would recommend them to anyone wishing to top up their food supplies or even for a full shop. It's well worth taking a look inside your local Netto. ...
