Asda Home Delivery
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Time spent waiting, cost of calls to customer services, rude staff, damaged items
Two attempts to have an Asda home delivery have left me with no faith in Asda!
The first delivery I got 3 days late and in return they offered to take off the delivery charge!!!
The second delivery turned up 4 hours late with not so much as a telephone call until I chased the store and then with damaged items.
Getting a refund seems to be just as painful as waiting for the order, 2 weeks after calling for a refund it has not been processed, they ...

I hate thee so much, so why can't I stop buying from you!!
Advantages: Cheap, convenient and got everything you need Disadvantages: They are slowly taking over the world
...I remember when a Tesco supermarket opened in my home town when I was a small child and how happy my mum was at how much money we could save as a family by shopping there. Tescos provided, and still does, a large 'Value' range, which is a much cheaper version on brand items. At the time they were of nearly the same quality as the branded item, if not better. Today however, I feel they have started to fall short of a lot of their Value range and have ... ...items. Or else there is Tesco own brand, which is more like the old Value range. When I am shopping I do tend to go mostly for the foods that are Tesco own brand as it reduces my shopping bill and I don't have to suffer a loss of quality. The Value range has however fallen along the way side offering poorly made low quality knock offs that I would generally avoid. There are, of course, exceptions to the rule, with a lot of there biscuit items being ...

Lidl vrs Mainstream Supermarkets.
Advantages: Cheap honest prices. Disadvantages: Dont offer everything you may need.
Lidl Supermarket Newton Road 173
TQ2 7AJ Torquay/Torbay
The general concensus is that when times are hard we reduce the quality of produce we buy from a Supermarket. I personally dont agree with this. In my opinion people tend to change where they buy it from in the main.
Lets be honest, most people a few years ago would never admit to shopping in Lidl. Perish the thought. Actually once you have braved the taboo you will find that it has a lot ... ...name snobbery basically. Lidl uses the tactic that was employed by Jack Cohen (TESCO founder) Stack em high sell em cheap.
All the fancy shelving lights etc has been disposed of to reduc the price to us the customer.
The branch we use in Torbay is clean and large enough to cater for almost all our needs. The staff are very friendly and helpul. There is adequate parking and good access routes. There is a wide selection of fresh fruit, fresh meat ...

An inside view of working for Morrisons.
Advantages: Good perks, good working conditions, good progression possibilities. Disadvantages: Job can be tough mentally and physically.
...I have worked for Morrisons for a little over 2 years. I started on the nightshift working five out seven nights totalling 39 hours per week. I worked on the grocery department and for the most part had set aisles to work, thus meaning I was in control of those aisles - ordering, merchandising, presentation etc. To me this makes complete sense as you quickly get used to layouts, stock levels/requirements, rather than working random aisles where you ... ...grocery supervisor. The nightshift at Morrisons fill, or 'dress' the store and the dayshift maintain it.
My role is basically the stepping stone between the department staff and the department managers. I get stuck in when required but must also step back and observe. It's a fine line but I have a very good working relationship with those below and above so it's not too hard to balance.
My week is still working five out of seven days over a contracted ...

Sainsbury's Dalston: friendly staff, good items w/ a few blunders
Advantages: Cheap items available, a lot of variety Disadvantages: Silky tofu but no firm one? Occassional rotting food items
In my view, Sainsbury's in Dalston is good for everyday shopping. Staff seem to know more about location of the products than in other branches and so far proved to b chatty, friendly and helped me out a lot. What concerns products, it is well stocked and there are reduced items if you come in late (9-10pm), which is quite important to me. Own brand items are alright, though vegetarian burgers proved to be a bit disappointing (but not too bad, if ... ...items at the cheese counter - not extremely cheap, but you can get a good deal once in a while. Half price wines are also good, if you look carefully at the labels. Even when I was really late and rushed in just before closing, staff have been sympathetic, which is great knowing how long their hours are. £3 box of french beers is definately a great buy, much recommended. Had a bad accident with rotten tomatoes once, but apart from that can't complain. ...
