Sure is one of the most well known brands of deodorant, and probably one that most people have tried at some time or another. I hadn’t used their spray-on deodorant for years, but I decided to give it another try, since I’ve never managed to find a deodorant that does everything the can claims it should. I used to find that Sure deodorant left lots of white marks, was quite powdery when it dried, and didn’t smell nice at all. I was quite surprised that the product seems to have improved a lot since then.
I paid £1.69 for a 170ml can, although I think that was cheaper than the normal price. I like the design on the can; it’s similar to all Sure products, but this one has a darkish green design, highlighted with magenta. The fragrance is called “Cool White” (an awful choice of name if you ask me!), but I do think it smells really nice compared to most other deodorants.
The can claims all kinds of wonderful things; “you cannot buy a more effective anti-perspirant aerosol”, “unbeatable protection”, “24hr intensive”, “stain reducing formula”, and the list goes on. But nothing that would really make me chose this over any other brand. It does say that it doesn’t contain CFCs, but I was under the impression that no deodorant does nowadays.
As far as I can tell, all deodorants will leave white marks on your clothes if you’re not careful with them. I assume that this one is the same, but I’ve managed to avoid them so far. The smell is nice but not too strong, and I haven’t found this product to be either too sticky or too powdery when I’ve used it. It also hasn’t irritated my skin at all, although this is a problem I rarely have with deodorants. I’m not convinced about their claim of 24-hour protection, but the ‘protection’ has lasted longer than other brands of spray-on deodorant have for me. Overall, this is the best deodorant spray I’ve tried, so I’m going to keep using it for now.
