Advantages Instantly dry, doesn't mark clothes
Disadvantages Not good in hot climates, more expensive than other roll-ons
---Introduction---
As a long time user of traditional "wet" roll-onanti perspirantdeodorants I have only lately switched and started to use the newer dry stick types. There are a number of these around now and the one I am reviewing here is part of the Sure Men range which in addition to "Sensitive" also includes sticks with subtly different perfumes such as "Cobalt"---Packaging---
The 50ml product is packaged in a silver, metallic look plastic container with removable lid and has an inner plastic cover to protect the stick until its first use. It also posseses a twistable base so that as the stick wares down it can be pushed up higher until it's finished. The labeling is also in grey/silver with the tick shape logo of the Sure brand. The word "Sensitive" is spelt out in green and this helps to distinguish it from other members of the range. Overall a good package, easy to find on the shelf and one which stands out from its rivals. The silvery plastic may also give it a more "upmarket" look which appeals to some.---Product appearance---
Without listing all the ingredients, it is enough to describe stick anti-perspirants as a mixture of various fats/waxes compounded with an aluminium comound (which gives it the anti-perspirant effect and is common to most anti-perspirants) and talc, together with a "sporty" fragrance. This gives a solid white block which softens when heated and therefore rubs off easily on your skin when you apply it underarm.---Effectiveness---
I am really quite happy on this score: it keeps me dry all day and the fragrance, whilst not overpowering, also lasts all day. One aspect which I am particularly happy with is that this product does not seem to stain the underarm region of shirts and t-shirts nearly as badly as wet roll-ons do, and as someone who was fed-up with trying to get white marks out of my shirts this is a definite plus-point. For me, the product is also very skin kind and does not produce any irritation although as will all cosmetic products, it may be worth testing it out on a small area of skin on the first occasion you use it, especially if you have sensitive skin.---Value for money---
Given that the product seems to last at least twice as long as a wet roll-on, I am very happy with the value. Currenlty is priced at around GBP 3.00, and as such is a bit more expensive than many other roll-ons, although may be cheaper in some discount chemists. Available in high street chemists and supermarkets.---Summary---
Great product, nice, quick and easy to use. Doesn't stain clothes and dries instantly. Also has a nice fragrance and lasts all day. Product may soften slightly if stored in hot locations/climates but this is not a major problem in my experience.

Good review, I like to use a spray so that I blast the bathroom too - kills two evils in one! Nev x

Ive tried this but unfort. it did not keep me fresh. I wish they would make one like the women's Sure Oxygen stick button cream which is what I use. It contains aluminium too but it keeps me fresh 24 hours but has the downside of staining dark clothing. Sometimes you do have to make a compromise but its good to read that someone has found one that works all round! VG
