Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Alan Jardine, Bruce Johnston.Includes liner notes by Timothy White. All tracks have been digitally remastered.Mike Love has worn down the Beach Boys' cars-and-surf sound into empty exercises in nostalgia while Brian Wilson based his reputation among the rock intelligentsia almost entirely upon PET SOUNDS and the unreleased SMILE. Nevertheless, there are many Beach Boys cultists who feel that SUNFLOWER and SURF'S UP are the band's finest work. Released in 1970 and '71 as the first products of their new Brother Records deal with Warner Brothers, whose commercial and artistic expectations were much different than the group had experienced at Capitol, these are relaxed, confident records with a progressive, experimental edge. While there's some missteps--Love's Student Demonstration Time is possibly the band's worst song ever--the high points are exquisite. Bruce Johnston's Disney Girls, Carl Wilson's Don't Go Near the Water, and Brian's Til I Die, Cool Cool Water and the astonishing SMILE outtake Surf's Up are among the band's very finest songs.[Reviews]Rolling Stone (8/31/00, p.73) - 4 stars out of 5 - ...On-par tunes and productions...strikingly unified....ranking among the band's most heartfelt achievements...Q (9/00, pp.118-9) - 5 stars out of 5 - ...SUNFLOWER is an absolute delight...[they] minted a sound that managed to stride into fresh pastures, but retain the qualities...that had long been their calling card....SURF'S UP ups the ante even further...the sun-kissed psychedelia belatedly reaches full bloom...Entertainment Weekly (8/11/00, pp.78-9) - ...There aren't many who won't want [this]...bearing several of Brian's post-PET SOUNDS mini-masterpieces... - Rating: B+/B-Melody Maker (9/12/00, p.51) - 4 stars out of 5 - ...Classic symphonic pop mixed confusingly in with naive green politics. Buy PET SOUNDS first, then consider this classic pair of 1970/1 albums.n
Advantages: Fun, Active, Good Games Disadvantages: Dont Know
...a little better than the PS2, but the fun game play makes up for that ;)
Another handy thing about the console is the 4 controller ports and 2 memory card ports for the Game cube, meaning if your planning on playing your game cube games without switching console you can!
Now for the Wii Remote... Well, Wow, were amazed of just how good it is! Making games interactive and when you play Wii Sports it show's you just how good it is... The Wii Remote also has a built in speaker, Why? Because when you hit the ball in tennis and surf it makes the noises to go with it, in Zelda it makes sword noises as well!! Also the Nun chuck which connects to the Wii Remote has motion sensors as well so you can box in Wii Sports.
The console has 2 USB 2.0 Ports on the back for the LAN Adapter and other stuff...
So Here's what i give it: 9/10...

Advantages: Entertaining for all ages Disadvantages: You have to be carefull not to hurt yourself or someone else
...Wii is the Nintendo's latest console and innovation of what we consider gaming people considered gaming up to now sitting on their couch and holding a controller not with Wii.
The difference between Wii and every other console is that it works with motion sensors rather than buttons(it has buttons but the gaming is done mostly with moves) for example the most common Wii Bundle is Wii Sports which contains Tennis, Baseball, Bowling, Boxing and Golf for all those instead of holding the controller and pressing buttons you have to do the move a really nice feature for people who get bored sitting on the couch all the time.
Personally I also own a PS3 but find Wii far more enjoyable and entertaining although it doesn't match PS3 or XBOX 360 graphics the games are much more entertaining and fun.
Wii has a hard drive, ethernet and wireless...

Advantages: You are doing a workout with out knowing it Disadvantages: The graphics don't compare to the PS3
...I purchased my Nintendo Wii after playing my nieces at Christmas. What I liked about it is that fact that it has you jumping around the room and basically doing a mini workout. I have the EyeToy for my PS2 but I found that a chore to use. The Wii's controllers are brilliant and I have found it no trouble controlling the game on the screen. The Wii isn't just all about the gaming we use ours to check the weather and surf the web. I have even set it up so that I can send messages to my niece. And it was so simple to set it up, I just plugged it in and it found my wireless internet connection right away. The graphics are I would say are basically the standard of the PS2 but if I had been worried about that I would have saved up for a xbox or PS3. The Wii for me is about getting up and getting active and I can say I am enjoying every minute...

My boyfriend and I eventually gave in and bought ourselves a Wii about 6 months ago. Then, on my birthday back in May, my parents bought me the Wii Fit. Since then, we have used it most evenings and have had an awful lot of fun using it.
