Advantages: Agile, fuel-efficient, learner-friendly Disadvantages: Rain, old parts, electricals
I bought my 1982 GSX 250-s when I first got my Learners permit (13months ago) for riding here in NSW, Australia. Law says that we can't ride anything over a 250 until we obtain our full bike license... I picked mine up for $1600(aus) - expensive in comparison to 2nd hand larger bikes, but cheap for a 250 in demand due to the explosion of new riders on the roads.

Although it only has a top-speed of 100km/h, it has been on many a long trip up and down the NSW coast. It hugs all corners, and if kept up in the revs, will spit you out the other side of an uphill s-bend like a slingshot. The large, soft seat is also a bonus on the posterior regions... After an engine service (during which the carbeurettors were cleaned), my sluggish purchase turned into a little racer! 18 years old and gliding through Sydney traffic like the S-ports model of it's heyday. Being 6 feet tall, I can throw it around like a bmx.
Mostly it is used for commuting around inner and greater Sydney and runs on the smell of an oily rag.
The only downside to the bike is its shonky electricals, and the obvious fact that old parts are wearing out (like my front and rear forks).
For any learner that doesn't have to travel too far too often, this is a great little bike if you can find one in Sydney for under $2000.
Advantages: good economy and good ecology Disadvantages: slower than 2-stroke engine
It is called bandit in Japan. It has a two type. there is normal and V.V is good. V type has V-twin-engine.V type is faster than normal type in low rpm. The price is about 7000 dollers. This engine's redzone is over 15000 rpm. This engine sound is good. The max speed is 180 km/h. It is good for winding road.
2-stoke engine is much faster than 4-stroke engine. But gsx250 is 4-stroke engine. But 4-stroke engine is good economy and good ecology.
The shape ...

Advantages: Excellent mid range starter bike Disadvantages: Not cutting edge
I have recently been fortunate to have been bought an XJ600S Diversion by my dear wife (Bless her). She has known I've been after a bike since I sold my last one seven years ago. Previously I had had a Suzuki A100, a Honda H100S2 and a SuzukiGSX250. Maybe I'm getting old but my re-entry to biking is with the midrange Diversion, something that some of my ZZR and FZR friends have looked down their noses at.
The bike I now have is a P Reg with 8500 miles on it as such this is the old model, with only a single front disk instead of the twin disks on later models. It has had two owners from new, neither of whom have used it in the wet. It has been serviced correctly and is in excellent condition. I was bought the bike primarily so we could go out for fun rides and as a fallback means of transport, not as a means of breaking the sound ...
