What can I say about this bike that history has not already said.
I feel that this bike is for the serious rider who wants something that's got lots of 'down to the ground' grunt.
It oozes street appeal, and glides along at any speed.
I guess it was one of the first 'streetfighters'.

I guess it was one of the first 'streetfighters'. Brilliant straight line performance, bit twitchy on corners because of the wheel base, so attention is needed. servicing is relatively easy as access to the engine and other parts are not hindered by fairings or the like. Parts are many as there have been a lot of these machines over the years, but you might find an owners club will be the best choice for spares or any modifications. Especially the all important nose cone.
it's an air cooled machine so will get hot in traffic. it just loves the open roads. throttle response is always good.
Most definitely one of those bikes that just stands out from all th rest. It's tell-tale front nose immediately lets you know what it is.... a shark in bikes clothing.
The entire Katana series are becoming highly collectable as they are from a day gone by and are still highly liked and respected in the biker world. You can modify the entire machine until the cows come home. There are lots of Kats now appearing at rallies like the bulldog bash etc.
This machine is a serious piece of motorcycle history and always gets looked at or commented on.
