The Quad 306. What can you say? It's one of those amplifiers that a lot of people won't have come across, but to those who have heard, or own one, it's an all time classic.
The Quad 306 is a power amplifier. That means it just provides the power for the speakers. A separate control unit (or pre-amp) is needed to connect the other equipment to. This is the way that Quad have traditionally supplied their equipment, with a separate pre- and power amp.
The 306 is the second in Quads line of what are called current dumping amplifiers. The first was the famous 405, which first appeared in 1975. It won a Design Council award in 1976 and in 1978 the Queens Award for Technological Achievement. The 405 became the 405-2 in around 1985, and the 306 came out in around 1986. King of Queens is an American sitcom set in New York. The King in question is Doug Heffernan and the Queens they relate to is actually the suburb of New York he lives in with his wife Carrie. I think this title is a really clever play on words and sets the scene for quite a funny sitcom in my opinion.
Doug and Carrie are the main couple in this sitcom and it?s really them that the whole show revolves around. They have a nice relationship but bicker like most couples and they really play on each others stereotypes to get the laughs out of the audience. For example Doug is rather fat and so they definitely play this up on the show. He is generally always eating my Carrie facilitates this by buying him or making him his favourite foods. Doug is played by the very funny Kevin James who has been in movies such as Hitch, I Now Pronounce You ...
Advantages: None. Disadvantages: Gameplay, graphics, sound, longevity, value for money and multiplayer functions.
ATV Quad Frenzy is a racing game on the Nintendo DS where you race on a quad bike. It's also boring.
GAMEPLAY
You can either play a quick race, in the championship, where you get virtual money which you spend on your bike, play multiplayer or practice. It sounds OK, but it's poor.
GRAPHICS
The graphics on ATV Quad Frenzy are OK, but could be widly improved. The graphics are also really basic and there's no detail at all!
SOUND
There are a few music tracks on Quad Frenzy, but they are simple and not much work has been put into them.
LONGEVITY
The game will last you about 1 hour, then it gets boring, even with multiplayer! It's lame and dull!
VALUE FOR MONEY
You can buy this game from Amazon for £6.44, this may sound good, but it is still bad. I'd price this game at 99p-£1.99.
