Picked up my new 09(old model) sv650s k7 on saturday 7th march 2009 and have only done a few miles and its brilliant. I have only my naked learner bike to compare it to but its really fantastic. engine still to be run in so cant give it the full beans but still you can feel its power virtually in any gear from 3000 revs onwards. Highly recommended even if your an experienced rider. The only criticism if thats what you can call it is the lack of alarm etc, i think the sport version has one but i suppose with low purchase price you cant expect to too loaded up with kit. Full fairing looks better on sport but my budget wouldn't stretch to that model.

Advantages: Sexy styling, useful torque, sounds nice, well balanced, cheap to own and ride Disadvantages: Gearbox iffy when cold, forks and fixings can corrode easily, suspension OK but I'd like it a bit harder otherwise an excellent machine.
