picked the2004 sv650 up 3 days ago, and oh my god what a bike, handles well, plenty of power, feels great. i rode up from petersfield near portsmouth all the way up to blackburn, a total of 273 and a bit miles, i loved every second of the ride back, even with the rain splashing down for the first hour.
ive owned a kawasaki er5 for the last 2 years, ive been waiting for my 33bhp restriction to end and wow am i glad it has ended, the sv has just lifted me to new heights, her looks sound power are awsome and an easy ride to top it off, this is what bikings all about, i know its only been 3 days but i had to write something about her, she's totaly blown me away.
i will be adding more to this review as time goes by, but for now if you want a new love in your life get out and buy one you will definatly not be throwing your money away just making your life a lot more interesting. see ya soon :-)

had the sv for little over two months now and done plenty of miles on her so a little update.
she does about 130-150 miles per tank depending how she is ridden at the moment with fuel prices high it cost between 17-18 pounds to fill from empty,
plenty of power when you need it, nice on the twisties or for just a nice easy ride out in the countryside, also a dodle to ride in built up city centres.
some people have mentioned the noise of the exhaust i simply love it but to give me a little more grunt and increase the noise polution hehe i will be fitting another exhaust probably a scorpion or a cobra i will let you know more when ive fitted it,
plenty of spare parts on ebay for the right money and even new parts are not that expensive not that ive needed any yet but i always keep my eye open for parts u never know when they will come in handy.
ive gained new confidence in riding the sv im aqlmost at the edge of the tyres now as before i was almost an inch off before,
there is enough rain protection with the single top fairing and at some point in the near future i will be fitting the lower fairing when ive blagged the wife.
again i will add a little more further down the line but overall im loving every minute on her only complaint you can get sore wrists with long journeys and a sore arse but breaks sort that issue out.

Sorry but there is not enough information or opinion in this review to make it helpful from the point of view of a consumer looking at making a purchase. If you update please leave a message in my guestbook and I will return to re-rate.
