Advantages: All the equipment I need ! Disadvantages: Just can't 'play' enough !!!
...aspect.
I opted to buy the Superior White five door 1.3GL at £7.799 but for another £1,200 you can get the 1.5 GLX 5dr which boasts Alloy wheels, air conditioning Muffler extension, Key Free System and Front Fog lamps - They come in 9 different colours consisting of Galacitc Grey, Cosmic Black, Kashmir Blue, Bright Red, Cats Eye Blue, Silky Silver, Spring Green, Superior White and Xtreme Yellow -
It is suprisingly spacious in the back with the capability of seating five ! The rear seats split-fold 60/40 and are so easy to put up and down. The boot isn't massive but I would say was generously sizable for a small car and easily holds my shopping loads!
Internally there's lots going on for the money as all models have:
Power Steering
Front electric windows
heated electric door mirrors
remote central locking
pollen filter

Advantages: Town runabout Disadvantages: Quirky looks
...From my earlier review some of you will know that I drive a lumbering 4x4. Whilst exceptionally comfortable and pleasurable to drive long distance , it is neither really practical nor economic for around the town.. Enter the Suzuki Ignis 1.3GL which fits this bill almost perfectly. The model I am reviewing was purchased new (heavily discounted) in October 2007 for the sum of £6500, on the road, with 3 years free service and warranty. Happily we did not have to trade a vehicle in so at least one side of the haggling palaver was avoidable.
"Ignis"..that's Latin for 'fire'
Please don't expect too much from under the bonnet. After all this is only a front wheel drive 1.3litre 16 valved four cylinder petrol driven engine made from aluminum ,which develops some 83 brake horsepower. More than adequate for around the town...

Advantages: The cheap price tag, the look, the running costs. Disadvantages: No aircon, alloy wheels or fog lights.
...The SuzukiSwift, being cheap to buy and cheap to run, would make an ideal first car. Although it is only a 1.3 engine it is very nippy and has no problems keeping up with the GLX. The handling is excellent and it is a very comfy ride. They're also now available with a MP3 WMA headunit as standard. The Swift boasts a sporty looking exterior but a rather basic interior. The biggest drawback is the lack of aircon. It also doesnt come with alloys wheels but these can be bought as an extra. All in all this is a great car to drive and to be seen in. It has been compared to the Mini Cooper, another great car, this one is just a lot cheaper! A big thumbs up all round....
