Susuki today are becoming more and more wide spread but less known. We alaways remember thosestylish 4x4's with the bulky tyres which many of us loved.
However. Go to a dealer now and they also specialize in cars.
THIS IS A WARNING TO ALL THE YOUNG AND VERY NICE PEOPLE OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A NEW CAR!
If you know me well here at Ciao, you'd know that I am crazy for taking new cars out on the road known as a testdrive.
BUT WAIT. Thats not the case here.
I was simply on my way to a friends when I walked past and noticed a used car they were selling dead cheap. It was a Ford Fiesta, S-reg for £4,995. It looked like a bargain so I walked over and started to take a look.
Though. by the way! They do sell approved and used cars, but I think thats a good thing, so thats one good hand to Susuki. Anyway....
The boot was open so I walked around the back, then I was approached by a smart looking man. "Can I help you sir ?" he said. I told him that I noticed this car. I think he may need to see a doctor because he didn't hear me right.
He walked a way, just a little and stood there staring at me. I thought maybe he was expecting me to go over so he could tell me more about the car. I walked over and he asked me to follow him. We walked into the actual showroom and he started telling me about this car called 'Swift'.
He said they were selling fast and that maybe I should take a closer look. I then explained I aint really looking for that kind of car and that it didn't appeal to me.
I started to feel pressure, he asked me if I wanted to sit inside. So foolishly I did. But when I got out, I told him that the pedals were maybe not centered right for me and the car seat.
He turned around and said that the only way I would know was if I were to do a demo and take it on the road.
Without asking he told a colleague that I was interested in the car and asked if there was a possible time for me to drive the car.
I was furious! He maybe thought that a young lad like me couldn't stick up for myself!
So I said, well, there's nothing here for me. I left and the next day I recieved a postcard with a picture of a Susuki 4x4. On the back it said that he has arranged a time of 2pm the next Monday. I could choose wever to turn up or not but he'd be happy to see me there and I'd realise the benefits of associating with Susuki.
I am at the moment complaining to head office about the service I recieved.
I never expected anything like that! You go to a showroom to take a look round, surely. I understand that they do their job hasseling you and others but it really felt as though he saw a young lad with a wadful of money and decided to take him for something they needed getting rid off as well as a nice amount of cash.
Unlike Maserati, here they tried to pressure me into buying a new car which most probably DOES NOT sell.
Just imagine, a young lad doing the same as me, only he had a bit more trouble of standing up. He/she would of took the drive and then maybe, maybe have brought the car through pressure!
This is Customer service at its worst and I am warning especially the young ones to stay well clear!
Cheers for reading! Chunka!
