I was persuaded to join this companies Easywarm payment plan for the over 60's by a representative of the company. The monthly payments started off at £58, then they were increased to £96.

After about two years I was approached by another power company and as a result of this I started doing some sums.

I found I was paying £20 per month in excess of the cost of the fuel I was actually using.

I contacted Swalec and asked why I was not informed that the payments I was making were in excess of the cost of the fuel I was using. I was told it was not their job to inform me of this. Having just to make one monthly fixed payment I suppose I did not study the quarterly bills as I should have

This was a scheme supposed to help the elderly, but all it did was rip me off. Why was I not told I was paying in excess of the cost of the fuel being used?

Obviously I asked for a refund of what I had overpaid and was informed that this was not possible.
