Advantages: Large Volume, 3 Temp Settings, Nice Aesthetics and Design Disadvantages: A few stipulations regarding foods that can be cooked and how to use the cooker, although these are general to Slow Cookers and not this model alone
...This cooker comprises of a nice stainless steel outer shell, a big / heavy, sturdy ceramic inner pot and a toughened glass lid. Would tie in nicely if you have stainless steel / chrome appliances.
The removable ceramic pot has a capacity to 6.5ltr to the brim, with a recommended working capacity of 4.5ltr, plenty big enough to feed 4-6 people. The pot is dishwasher safe and can easily be transported to the table for serving.
The cooker is of an oval shape, rather than round, which allows you to cook joints of meat
The cooker has handles which don't conduct heat so the unit can be moved (for whatever reason) during cooking without burning yourself.
The lid is made from toughened glass, so you can monitor the food during cooking.
The reason I bought a slowcooker was so I could make some tasty meals, with little to no effort...

Advantages: Prepare meal in advance, tender meat, safe to go out and leave it cooking. Disadvantages: Absolutely None!
...crock pot and a glass lid, and comes in a chrome base and black pot. (Very stylish!).
It comes with 3 heat settings, they are High, Medium and Low.
Medium setting is a standard setting for slow cooking, this gives you 6-8 hours cooking time, if you want to extend the cooking time you select low, or if you want to quicken the cooking time select high.
*EXAMPLE*
Spaghetti Bolognese;
8am Empty mince and sauce (i.e. Dolmio, ragu etc) into slowCooker. Mix all in together, adding anything extra if
required (i.e. mushrooms/onions). Turn slowcooker
to medium.
Cooked and ready for 4pm. To extend cooking time for about 6/7pm instead of turning to medium turn to low this will decrease and cook more slowly. If however you want it cooked before 4pm turn to high and this will increase and cook more quickly.
The slowcooker always used...

Advantages: Great for working families, Price, Easy to clean Disadvantages: None
...Having thought about getting a slowcooker for a little while know we thought that the sales would be the perfect time to start looking. We didn't have a specific model in mind so thought we would just see what was on offer. We went to Comet and was greeted by quite a range of slowcookers, some were on sale, others were not.
We chose the cheapest option as we were not sure if a slowcooker would be just what we were looking for, and did not want to lose a lot of money if it wasn't right.
The Home-tek HT162 has a 3 litre capacity, 3 Heat settings and a removable ceramic crock-pot and glass lid for easy cleaning. It is not too bulky so does not take up too much room in the kitchen. Easy to read instructions make using the slowcooker an enjoyable experience.
The main reason for getting a slowcooker is so that you can prepare a meal...
