Advantages: Reasonably priced, attractive looking and works well. Disadvantages: Small amount of steam escapes when boiling...but not much else lets it down.
...I know kettles aren’t the most interesting of items, but most of us use one everyday ~ probably more than once too! When our old kettle was looking a bit grubby, and started to boil only when it felt that way inclined, we decided it was time to replace it (it was about six years old after all).
Our kettle was a white, cordless Swan kettle and it had served us well ~ it had now earned its place in the Great Kettle Graveyard and was ready to pass the torch on to a new model….but now we faced the decision about what the worthy successor would be!
It seems that kettles come in all shapes, sizes and prices. We just wanted a kettle but the array on offer is pretty mind blowing. Finally we decided on another Swan kettle (our previous one had lasted well and had been very reliable up until last off) and this time we went for a rapid...

Advantages: Light; powerful; easy to carry; works well on all surfaces Disadvantages: Pipe and brush head a bit flimsy
...I wish I could find another one of these. I bought one about 5 years ago and it is the most powerful and handy little cleaner I have ever had. (And I\'ve had quite a few in my search, I can tell you.) The only thing I didn\'t find comfortable was the pipe and brush head, which I quite easily exchanged with my old hoover.
My helper has just cleaned our neighbour\'s house with this little Swan and she has a white cat, red carpet, a loft extention and lots of stairs. When she came home she said she\'s never seen it looking so good and her precious Dyson is on its way out and she is on the search for a Swan Sc2002.
OK it\'s not built to clean mansions, but it is most excellent for stairs. It is light, powerful and easy to use. Another advantage is that you can get disposable bags or stick with the two washable ones which come with it...

Advantages: inexpensive. neat and tidy easy to store away Disadvantages: only toasts half the bread
...Firstly, my apologies. I am writing about Pacific PT01-2S under Swan as there is no PRODUCT NOT FOUND facility within the toaster department.
Having said that, on with the opinion. Well what can you say about a toaster except that ....it toasts bread, or at least it toasts half the bread as for some reason bread slices are too big for normal bread toasters. Where are the designers I ask myself. Are they too important for such trivia. Why on earth aren't appliances made to fit the product they are cooking these days. We have too small ovens, too small microwave ovens, tiny sinks, etc., etc.,
I selected this particular toaster because of it's price £7 from Asda Stores so perhaps it is a little tawdry of me to complain. The Pacific however replaces a far more expensive model which gave up the ghost, but which also only toasted...

Nusrat in a diferent style.
Its hard to think what the thinking was behind this concert. It could well be as Nusrat often said he changes his music to suit the audiance. On this occasion it could well have been a step to far. Nusrats voice shines as... more

Back in the UK again, I had some training courses to attend and so several of us from work got together to go on one in Staffordshire. Having found this hotel on the net, we all booked into it with eager anticipation of a night out... more
