Disadvantages: Price (But you can work around this), Some say demise of vinyl (I dont agree)

...I have to say that I completley agree with everything that the previous reviewer has written about these decks. They are industry standard and there is a reason why you will find them in every club in the world. They are one of the best investments that you will ever make. I bought my pair a year ago as my first decks after deciding to make the next step in my love of music. The were 2-3 years old then and I have not had one single problem since I bought. The budget I gave myself was £600 max to start out including mixer, headphones and a couple of basslines to start my collection. Advantages: Solid, stable construction. Superb sound reproduction. High torque.
Disadvantages: High-end price tag.

...Standing in the DJ booth of the nightclub my brother DJ'ed in, I had before me two of these decks and a license to use and abuse to my heart's content. The volume was set to "Damaging", the vinyl was sparkling at me and the three or so remaining customers were too drunk to even know where they were but I was happy. This was to be my first go on Vestax decks. I'd used Technics before this and was stuck on them but I was open-minded and keen to experiment. My first view of them filled me with anticipation. They looked solidly built, attractive and the straight tone-arm was appealing. There are buttons galore but they all have easy to use functions and there's little there that you wouldn't use at some point during your aural escapades. Advantages: The Best Deck Around Great Starting Speed And Overall Performance.
Disadvantages: Well To Be Trueful I Can't Find Any.

...The Has Got To Be The Best Deck Every Produced, But Just Because It's The Pro's Favourite Doesn't Mean To Say That It's The Only Deck Available. There Are Lots Of Manufacture's Revealing More Decks Each Year. To Be Honest I Think The Technic's Deck Needs A Bit Of A Sprucing Up. This Deck Has Stayed The Same For Several Years Now A I Personaly Think That It's Time To Change. I Would Also Consider The Stanton Deck Or The Gemini Which Does Look And Does The Business. The Are All Around The Same Price Bracket, But Try And Shop Around As There Is Second-Hand Decks Out There That Are In Excellent Condition, But At A Fraction Of The Price They Would Sell For New.
