Swapitshop is a fun, friendly and safe environment for kids to enjoy as well as adults. The concept of the site is simple. Members can trade some of their old stuff such as books or DVD's or almost anything and other people can bid for them with swapits. Then you post the swap over and the swapits get credited to you. There are also lots of other ways to get swapits such as through magazines or clicking on things on websites. In my opinion swapitshop ... ...anyone else and all private information is kept private. Also it teaches youngsters about certain things on every day life such as how many stamps you need for a 300g parcel. My son has been a member of swapitshop for a few months now and has only ever won one item. Thats is because although he has swapits, which are like credits, he has to bid for the items he wants and he always gets outbid. A lot of the items for sale need a huge amount of swapits so the only way you can get more swapits is by selling your stuff on the site or getting free swapit codes from magazines like kick, top of the pops, Jetix, Kraze or from ... ...you can get codes for free swapits but it won't be enough to buy a console game from swapitshop.
If you sell an item on swapitshop you will have to post it to swapitshop and they will forward it to the buyer, which means that you have to pay postage twice because swapitshop ask you to include a postage paid envelope to post the item to the buyer.
They now have a new way of getting swapits on the site by means of paying for swapits with pay-pal ...

I have been a member of this site since I was about 14 and tens years on I am still using it so that must surely say something about how good I think it is.
Swapitshop is basically what the name suggests, an online shop where you can swap items that you no longer need, however the term swap is not entirely accurate as you don't swap your items for other items. What actually happens is that you earn a swapitshop currency for the items you swap, known ... ...for other items that are listed on the site.
The site is aimed at teenagers and that is fairly clear from the site design and promotions that they offer but there is no upper age limit for the site so I still regularly use the site as I feel it is more reliable than ebay and since it does not use real money the chances of being conned are very low.
