Give your taste buds a treat!!!

Advantages: refreshing
Disadvantages: none

The Review......................................................................... Matlow's Refreshers are perhaps not the sweet of choice for most adults, but after seeing these on a trip to my local supermarket I could not help but buy them! These little sweets have brought back so many memories from my childhood for me and I also enjoyed eating them! Ok, so I bought these little sweeties from Tesco's in a multi pack for £1.09p but you can ...
...seen them (after buying these) in my local Spar shop. Matlow's the company, have been around since 1928 and were founded by Alfred and Maurice Matlow. They also own the Swizzle Company, which produce many a sweet, including Parma Violets and the Double Lolly. These Sweets are in fact a different style from when I was a nipper and now come in little sweets instead of a single bar. However I don't really think the taste has changed. They are described ...

New environmentally unfriendly packaging

Advantages: Not too expensive, tastes good, traditional
Disadvantages: Messy, hard to eat, hard to open, bad for the environment

Sherbet fountains are a traditional confectionery product, made by Barratt. They consist of citrus flavoured sherbet and a stick of liquorice to eat the sherbet with. At less than 50p each, Sherbet Fountains aren't too expensive. The packaging is attractive, but has recently changed from cardboard/paper to plastic, which in this environmentally friendly time is strange, as it is now worse for the environment, as it can't be recycled! It still has ...
...looking like a firework, but changing the material has made it lose a lot of the character and unique, traditional feel it had when it was cardboard and paper. I found the tube hard to open, which would probably mean children would be unable to open it without assistance. The good thing about the new packaging is that you can now put the lid back on to reseal it, so you don't have to eat it all at once. Also, it should be more hygienic. Inside the ...

Sherbet Lemons

Advantages: Tasty. A coloured tongue afterwards.
Disadvantages: A coloured tongue afterwards (is fun, but not good in the office)

...them for too long. The packaging is purple, like most other Harry Potter sweets, and either come in a bag or a stick of about 10 sweets. These are suitable for adults and children alike, just like the books. I recommend them to anyone and everyone! ...

...buy them for around 20p normally although some shops will charge up to 30p . You can,t get them from all shops but i,ve found that a lot of newsagents do sell them . They come in a pack around the same size as a pack of polo mints . You get 20 sweets in a pack. ~ What do they taste like ~ They are very fizzy and fruity . Sherbet Foutains.. A Classic British Sweet!

Advantages: Fun to eat, tasty
Disadvantages: You usually end up covered in sherbet!

I think sherbet fountains are one of the classic British sweets that are still around today. I haven't actually seen these in a while, but I guess I haven't been looking for them! After a conversation about them with a friend a couple of weeks ago I was out shopping in Asda and there they were! I ended up buying five of them (*blush*) Though they weren't all for me! The cost of each of them is 20p, which personally is a bargain. Though I do remember ...
...think the design of the sweet wrapping has changed since it was brought out. I remember buying these after my swimming practice when I was about 8 (14 years ago) and they looked the same then!It looks a little but like a stick of dynamite. The packaging is basically a yellow and orange cardboard cylinder with 'Sherbet Fountain' written across the front in large letters. The cardboard is then shaped in a point at the top of the cylindrical tube where ...
