Advantages: 65nm size, less power consumption, HD supporting technology, very cheap, pure video technology, SLI Disadvantages: just remake of 8600 gt version, less core clock speed, lower performance than 8600GT.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Usually, in modern days computing market, the manufacturers tend to built in the Graphics Processor Unit (GPU) with the motherboard, which is helpful. But it entirely does not accomplish the maximum output for graphics requirements for a PC system. It is far less powerful and serves the nominal performance than a dedicated graphics card.
In present day market, there are two world-class renowned companies providing the best graphics card to the consumers, one of them is NVIDIA and the other one is ATI. Though in my personal opinion, the hardcore gamers prefer the NVIDIA for its boastful performance, superiority in viewer satisfying ability.

Note the Highlighted points above. That will really upset those who spends 399 USD(priced 399$ when my friend boght) just to get the transistors count reduced when compared with lesser priced GTX 280.
My opinion
But PhysX performance is better than GTX 280, in game physics such as vector objects representation and their movements, lightning effects are very well represented.
In terms of appearance this card gives much a sort of a "Beasty" appearance than 9800 GTX. Its appearance is like its ready to take any game thrown to it, set at thier highest quality. But It really doesnt perform so and it explicitely shows that Appearances are deceiving.
Though this card performs good, its not better than its "Big ...

Advantages: Budget, Supports Modern Titles, Sturdy, No Overheat Disadvantages: Struggles with Crysis, A little Loud, Not an 8800 GTX!
Being a hardcore gamer on a mediocre budget is not an easy task - particularly when you've got plenty of financial obligations every month and recently I found myself needing a graphics card that wouldn't empty my wallet but would fulfil my needs and for the most part the XFX GeForce8500GT did!
Just a quick overview on XFX; they're a Hong Kong based Pine Technology Holdings Limited Group which are renowned for their NVIDIA based graphics cards and are currently the 2nd most popular Graphics Card Manufacturer in the States and extremely popular in Europe at the moment. Most cards are built/modified at the high end of their capacity yet still at a budget appropriate to students and working class gamers. It's worth mentioning that others have over clocked this card further (its driver disk offers software for doing such), this is ...
