PRODUCT FEATURES: Create and share a wireless 300Mbps network Expand the range and speed of your connection Share music and films wirelessly Easy security setup with the WPS button
Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to configure, Lots of features, USB for sharing drives Disadvantages: Bit expensive, Not full speed with every machine
and upload speeds despite this anyway. Only thing is, transferring files within the network isn't as fast as I'd like from my laptop. This router does boast it has the "Best" speed and coverage as opposed to the lower end routers in the range which only give you 'Good' or 'Better' speed and coverage so the lower speed on my laptop may be due to some sort of incompatibility. Wireless range is good though as I can get at least a good signal around the house. Don't know what the maximum speed is for this router but I'm guessing 300Mbits? Compared to the router that came with my broadband with BE, web pages do seem to download quicker.
Wireless aside, the router also has four Ethernet ports so you could plug PCs and network devices in directly should that be convenient as wired connections are always more reliable. Speed may be about the same though ...
Advantages: Easy setup, great customer support, good price Disadvantages: None
In short: Excellent router, easy to set up and good support from Netgear.

The router was installed easyily and using AOL software from their site my main computer was up and running using an ethernet cable. We did have a couple of problems setting up our two laptops to work wirelessly but one short call to Netgear and that was all sorted out. If you don't have laptops with built in wireless capability I would recommend getting the compatible wireless adapters from Netgear, these also are installed very easily. Even ...

I had recently bought a second laptop for my wife and needed a wirelessrouter badly so that both of us could access internet simultaneously and wirelessly.
So i searched around for a decent reliable router. i came across this one and bought it from amazon for 30 quid.
It supports 802.11b and 802.11g. It has 4 wired ports so that 4 computers can be connected simultaneously. It doesnt have a USB port.

The installation needs to be done with the computer wired to the router. Also configured the router settings after logging into the router ...
