I used to insure my car with Swintons. Once upon a time I was lucky enough to be able to buy a new car. It was bought on finance so I knew I would need fully comprehensive cover. Swintons found me an excellent quote and I was very pleased. They were able to provide immediate cover, by telephone, so I went ahead as I was keen to collect the car as soon as possible. It's that time of year again - just after Christmas co-incides with when I bought my car (off my mum!) last year having just passed my driving test. If I can give one piece of good advice, it would be do not insure anything with Swinton Insurance. When I bought a new car about 2 years ago, I unfortunately did not have time to shop around for car insurance as I needed insurance immediately. My quickest option was the Swinton branch in the nearest town. On going there at first I found the staff very friendly and helpful, and opened a car policy that day. Members, if I may be as bold to suggest, quite forcibly, to stay away from this Insurance Broker!!! I approached Swinton earlier this year, to purchase car insurance for my Fiancee, although the quote was quite expensive, I went ahead and arranged to insure her vehicle. I waited over 2 weeks for the cover note to arrive! It didn't! I then went to their office in our town, and using the reference number given to me, asked for a cover note.
