Swinton Insurance renewed my insurance automatically without permission, despite being told several times over the phone that i was looking for cheaper alternatives and if I didn't find one I would get back to them to renew. They then had the sheer audacity to charge me £57.46 for a week's cover for insurance which I hadn't agreed to. They threatened me with a debt collection agency if I didn't pay up plus costs. When I questioned this they said I had to prove to them that I had taken out insurance with another company!!!! Referred to financial ombudsman and the case is ongoing., Customer service department clearly reading from a script and very unhelpful. Absolute nitemare - don't take out insurane with Swinton. Its classic hard sell tactics and the customer is always wrong.
