Sylvanian Families - Patio Furniture Set

A desirable cottage ideal for expanding family!

is the right size for any of the Sylvanian families. The dimensions are probably about 30cm wide x 20cm deep with a height of about 30cm. It's very lightweight too so both the size and the weight make it very easy for a small child to move it around so they are not restricted to playing in just one place. The upstairs room has a built in stove which can't be moved. The house also comes with some additional furniture too which is one little figure and table and chairs. This is obviously not enough to fill the house but it is a start and means that your child has some bits to play with even if you have not got any other bits of furniture. As it happens the grandparents had already bought a kitchen set at Christmas and these all fit into the house very well. Review of Sylvanian Families Rose Cottage

You'd be in safe hands here!

Advantages: good quality toy
Disadvantages: expensive

My eldest daughter was recently six and was very excited to open a large wrapped parcel from her grandparents. Inside was this wonderful Sylvanian Familes General Hospital. This was great as the girls already have a number of items from the Sylvanian Families range so this was just adding to the collection! Before I describe the hospital it's worth just saying a little about the Sylvanian Families range in general. It is based on various different families of very cute small animals and I am always very impressed by the quality of these. Once you have a family or two there are so many houses and furniture sets which you can buy for them so that children can make up lots of lovely adventures for them. Lazy Susan Gloria Pat Furniture Set with Emma Metal Garden Chairs

Advantages: Maintenance Free, Easy to Clean, Timeless Design, Can be left outside all year
Disadvantages: The british summer is too short!

I purchased the Gloria patio furniture set with 8 Emma metal garden chairs in June 2008 (so over a year ago and a British winter) from www.lazysusanfurniture.co.uk. I did a substantial amount of research online before I purchased as I'd bought a rather expensive teak garden set in 2006 and it simply didn't last the distance. The thing looked awful and I didn't have the time to keep it varnished/clean. I was told that the answer was to invest in some aluminium furniture as its maintenance free and it only requires cleaning with soap and warm water. OK, so the initial cost was a touch higher than what I paid for the teak set, but worth every penny in my opinion. I have left the entire set (with the exception of the cushions and parasol) on my patio since day one and it still looks as good as new. I cleaned it once at the start of last ...
