After buying a brand new computer last November complete with a trial of Norton and having no problems for 3 months, I decided that Norton were the "way ahead" with Anti-virus programs and therefore shelled out a costly £60 for the Norton 360. Installation was simple, consisting of a program that apparently enabled the removal of all other Norton programs that had been previously installed. I also installed the same program on two other computers in the house, as this is a feature of the program, up to 3 computers can share the antivirus for a year. This all seemed amazingly simple for a simple computer user like myself and therefore my initial thoughts of Norton 360 were impressive. This didnt last long..... after having the product installed only a couple of days I recieved a message on-screen saying there was a problem.. Norton needed to be uninstalled and reinstalled. Ok, not a hard thing to do and onscreen instructions were simple to use, therefore I did what was asked and appeared to solve the problem. However.... the following day the message was back. I decided that I would use the benefit of the offered live chat that came with the product and enetred a chat room. After been told I was 10th in the queue and waiting for 20 mins even though it had stated the wait was only 2 mins. I got into a conversation with Radiq who told me to completely uninstall the program and went through ways of opening folders etc to make sure that all of the previously installed versions of Symantec had gone... as he felt that this was the problem. After having done this I was assured that this would resolve the issue. Two days later to my horror the message appeared again... at this stage I was becoming angry and felt very let down by Symantec, once again I Tried t speak to Live chat... this time the guy kept dissapearing for 7 or 8 minutes between questions which in the end became very frustrating and so I left the conversation. I have emailed Symantec with my complaints but as yet have had no reply or offer of refund. I have since completely deleted the whole program and have downloaded AVG a free antivirus program, which in my opinion works just as well.
