...When it comes to sound, most motherboards these days have integrated electronics to support all manner of devices. Soundcards, while no longer a necessity, have retained their popularity on the market due to the fact that they often improve the sound quality heard through ones speakers or headphones profoundly. Such is the case with the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy LS. Introduction I purchased this card a few months ago, to compliment my cheap and cheerful Pc Chips board, the sound from my motherboard was quite good but didn't really do some genres of music justice (in particular classical music). So off I went to my local computer fair in search of a sound card to give the audio a much needed boost. Advantages: cheap gaming case, quiet
Disadvantages: heavy, cannot turn on without opening door.

...Reason for Buying I decided on the Cobra as a case for the PC I was building due to its price, and also that it included a 450watt power supply unit. The looks also atracted me slightly too, athough it is very similar to my Jeantech Achilles case(which was more expensive and had no PSU supplied). It would be a interesting to compare the two as a I had few people waiting on the finished product before they decided if they wanted me to build them one. Out of the packaging = The first thing you notice even when its in the box is the weight, even with just the PSU this could hurt you if you don't lift it correctly. So if you are not sure, best get someone to lift it for you. The power supply fits in nicely in the case and doent look like a hastly bought PSU that doesnt match the case appearance... Read review

Advantages: Good quality sound for the price

...budget to stick to and a lack of technical knowledge I really just had to read description and judge for myself what I thought would be the best buy for the money I had. Scouring through the pages of the Argos book I decided to settle for the Logitech LS11 speakers at a budget price of £17.59. Although I had never actually read a review for these particular speakers, any reviews I had read on Logitech Speakers seemed to be good for performance and installation. The speakers themselves are approximately 6.4? x 3.35? x 3.2?. They are mainly shiny black with a silver coloured metal frame, all in all quite compact and stylish looking. The left speaker is plain with the Logitech logo on it whilst the right speaker has a headphone jack, a CD player/MP3 player jack and a volume control situated on the front of it.
