Advantages good value for money
Disadvantages not build well
I got my Systemax 500mhz 64SDRAM machine in June 2000. By early August I started having some problems that neither Simply Tech support nor their engineers could explain. I had to return my PC.
After 10 days I got it back with a note saying that there was nothing wrong with it and that it had undergone vigorous checks. However, as soon as I started working, the same problems started occuring.
Yes, you guessed it, I sent it back again. Now, it took them two weeks to figure out that there was nothing wrong with it, and sent it back to me.
I got my new PC at last, and everything seems fine. there are a few minor problems that I try not pay attention to. e.g. it doesn't play audio CDs,
When I phoned up the tech support to ask why, they recommended I't return the machine to them for a check.
During 5 months, I could only use my computer for 3. When I asked for compensation, the customer support person laughed.

Some information on what the problems you had with the computer would be useful. For example, was it software or hardware related?
