INTRODUCTION
Having recently expanded my hairdressing salon, I have just taken on TIGI products such as Bed head and catwalk hair products to sell and use in addition to the Matrix brand that I was already stocking.
As with anything new I introduce I like to try it out and test the products capabilities before selling them and recommending them to clients, because I would hate to sell any product that I have not tried and tested as these can be very expensive to buy and I would hate for the clients to be disappointed.
I have recently tried the Tigi Control freak conditioner form the bed head range, as this is a product that advertises that I would help maintain my wild hair.
THE PRODUCT
This Tigi bed head control freak shampoo is a completely colour safe conditioner that helps prolong any colour treated hair, Having recently dyed my hair chocolate brown from bleach blonde this has helped maintain my hairs colour and reduced the colour fade, which is very common what covering previously stripped hair.
This conditioner advertises that it repairs damaged dry hair which added moisturising agents that lock into the hair, this than forms a seal that helps reduce frizz and tames unruly curls or kinks in your natural hair.
The conditioner has added straightening benefits that help seal the hair leaving it looking nice and straight without having to worry about it going frizzy on damp days. This is not a miracle conditioner and will not give you straight hair unless you hair is naturally straight so hair straighteners will be needed if straightening is something you have to do to get the sleek look, but this certainly helps keep your hair straight after it has been styled.
This is lime green in colour and looks like green snot and the consistency also makes you think this as it is very thick and very sticky, but if you can get past that I would say that it is a very good product and I will not hesitate in recommending this to my clients.
As with the shampoo this comes in a 250ml clear plastic bottle that has a pull up lid similar to that on a drinks bottle, this makes it very easy to actually get the product out of the bottle but getting the dregs out of the bottom maybe a problem as this cannot be stood up on end.
The down side to this is that is smells of pineapple and I have to say it is very strong and lingers on your hair for a while after washing, so this may be a problem for some but the overall product does exactly what t says on the bottle so I would still recommend this for unruly hair types.
APPLICATION
This conditioner is applied to pre shampooed hair, for the best results apply a small amount to your hair and comb it through before rinsing. As this is very thick you only need a small amount for maximum results, I feel that your hair will become very greasy if too much is used as this may be difficult to rinse it out properly.
If you want a deep conditioning treatment I recommend that you stand the bottle in red hot water for a few minutes before applying it to your hair, leave the conditioner on your hair for at least ten minutes and rinse thoroughly and I promise you will notice immediate results.
PRICE / AVAILABILITY
This TIGI bed head control freak conditioner retails for 8.95 for a 250ml bottle, which is very expensive but worth every penny, as this really is a great product and does exactly as it says on the bottle.
Many of you may be put off buying from a salon as many feel that products are well over priced, but I am going to let you in to a little secret we only make £2.50 - £3.00 on each of the products sold so it you manage to find this for £5.95 - £6.45 grab it as you are getting it a better price that it actually costs to buy it from a supplier.
MY OPINION
I have been wowed by this product as it had prolonged my dulling hair colour giving it s nice even shiny that makes my hair look really shiny and healthy, although it is never usually any of these things so I am very impressed with it so far.
This has made my hair much more manageable and I no longer need to use straightening products such as serums, sprays and lockdown sprays to stop it frizzing when I leave the house, so it has saved my time and money in the long run as all I need to maintain my hair is this shampoo and conditioner.
This is expensive but it certainly works and never in my lf have I come across a product that works as advertised, but this has certainly hit the spot with my hair.
The only thing I hate about this is the colour and the smell as it is very overpowering, but I can put up with this as it really helps my hair.
I would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone with frizzy hair that is difficult to manage on damp days, this is ideal for any hair types and colours.

Advantages: Smells divine. It makes hair heathy and shiny. Disadvantages: So expensive.
...bought myself a set of Tigi Control Freak shampoo and conditioners. Now I have salon hair each time I wash it and I’ve been getting loads of compliments recently! Not only does it look healthy and smell divine, but I have noticed a huge decline on split ends and kinks. I bought my shampoo and conditioner over six weeks ago and still have 9/10 of the bottle left so not only does it work, but it is very easy on the pocket… let me tell you about the ... ...Who are Tigi?
***********
Tigi are a well respected hair products company, who I’m sure many people have heard of, or experienced in their life. Personally I was a convert to their “Creative Genius” styling balm, and a firm fan of “Shine Junkie” but I’d never bought their shampoos for home use. I’d always thought VO5 was as good as it could get for my hair, and I didn’t feel that I could justify an £8 bottle of conditioner. Then when I was shopping ...

Advantages: Gorgeous smell, pretty looking bottle, shiny hair! Disadvantages: May be confused with handwash to people not in the know! And not great really...
...I've never used a TIGI product before, but I religiously return to Toni and Guy for my hair cuts and love the way my hair smells and feels after, so I thought I'd have a bash myself!
*Directions*
I shampooed as usual, but the I reached the point I hate before I condition... Some conditioners directly tell you to apply to either soaking wet hair, or dry hair slightly and apply to damp hair... No such luck with this one. So I went for the happy-medium ... ...very wet, but not dripping!
Anyways, I tried two squirts, and applied from the tips, upwards. I was concerned using this on my roots... The conditioner feels very "sliquid" as they say on their bottle, and I didn't want it to be too heavy! The I *loved* the smell, but my hair didn't feel any more conidioned than it would with my Pantene or Head and Shoulders. I perservered, after zillions of products, you learn you can't judge until your hair is ...

This is the conditioner that goes with the shampoo that I reviewed before this. I got it together with my shampoo from the Clothesshow Live last December and there is still half left. The packaging is the same as the shampoo - a clear plastic bottle with a drinks bottle style pull up cap. You get less conditioner than you do shampoo, only 250ml compared to 350ml of shampoo. If you shampoo and condition every time you wash your hair as many people ... ...of conditioner first. Why do manufacturers do this? Its really annoying!
Like the shampoo, this conditioner smells of lovely pineapple and its really nice when youre in the shower, the scent is really refreshing. I dont like using this conditioner, becaue to me, conditioner is supposed to be creamy and luxurious. Using this is rather reminiscent of washing your hair with glue. Its thick, gloopy and sticky and really doesnt feel as though its actually ...

Advantages: great conditioner Disadvantages: expensive
I have used this conditioner along with the control freak shampoo and serum to try and tame my wavy highlighted hair. It was recommended to me by my hairdresser. The conditioner is quite light and fluid and has a very sweet, pineapple smell, which I loved, the conditioner detangled my hair well and when used with the serum, made my hair a lot more manageable Bed Head Control Freak is the best. It smells great! It makes my hair look light and bouncy. ... ...repairs and moisturises the hair to seal and reduce frizz. It is suitable for all hair types, lengths and styles.
For beautiful super straight hair, this conditioner will keep tangles and frizz under control.
Work thoroughly through damp hair and rinse. Continue with the other Control Freak Products.
This product is great at managing your hair and although it is on the expensive side there are some great deals online and you can even buy the products ...

This shampoo can come in a variety of sizes. In a promotional offer that TIFFS hair salon was having I managed to by 1 litre of TIGIBedHeadControlFreak Shampoo and 1 litre of TIGIBedHeadControlFreakConditioner for £25. This was a bargain compared to most salon prices and both bottles managed to last me 6 months (this is with washing my hair every other day). This works out cheaper then buying most other brands of shampoo and conditioner from your local retailers and high street shops. However, this promotional offer did run out (much to my dismay) and I had...
