TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal and Honey Conditioner is a very pretty product! However, the product inside the gorgeous bright blue bottle is why we are here!
I need to stress I have only used this conditioner along with its partner shampoo, so forgive me if your results are different if you decide to mix and match!
First off, the conditioner has the the most amazing scent. Although predominantly honey, the aroma is not so strong that it could be considered sickly. It's a very warm, comforting smell. I keep smelling my hair it's that nice!
It has a very creamy texture. Most likely because this is a highly concentrated product. There's not a great deal of water acting as filler here!
*The price and the shop*
The price isn't just expensive, it's assault on your purse. I bought my 250ml bottle from Trade Secret for £14... Crazy, I know... But bear with me, the results were amazing!
Incidentally you can also pick up your very own bottle from Toni and Guy salons, Razors Edge, and most other salons. Expect to pay different prices in different places, however!
*The background*
I'm basing my review on my hair type alone... I know this is quite obvious but results will vary between people, it's always good to use testers before you invest in an expensive product like this! It's a very costly mistake otherwise!
So, God decided to bless me with a great deal of fine hair! It kinks and greases after a single day (that's probably also due to the fact I play with my hair a lot though!). It's also naturally dark blonde, so using the wrong product can give me a really flat, brassy tone! On top of that my hair is pretty long so I have dry, split ends! Fun for me! This product claims it's ideal for people with hair like mine that needs a little TLC!
*Directions*
After using the Oatmeal and Honey shampoo I used a smaller amount of this conditioner than I would my regular Pantene! This conditioner was a great deaol thicker and creamier, and it was obvious I wouldn't need much at all! I applied from the tips going up to the root (my hair can get very heavy if I apply too much conditioner at the root... Plus the hair is healthiest up top, it only needs trace amounts of conditioner).
I couldn't believe how amazing my hair felt and smelled! It was lovely!
It was even better post blow drying!
My hair was so soft, shiny and healthy looking! My hair was also very light in weight and colour... Straightening only enhanced this effect! My ends didn't look or feel frazzled with the heat
*Evaluation*
This is without a doubt the best system I've ever used! The price tag is most definitly heavy, but there was no catch. I've really liked many systems, but there's always been one problem with it or another. In terms of performance this system is completely flawless!
*Score*
Like the shampoo I'm giving it a 9/10! The 1/10 is lost on the price, because it is so expensive, it's difficult to justify! If it's any consolation however, these products are very concentrated, you only need to use very small amounts to get great results!
To prove this I will edit this when I have finished each bottle to give you some idea how long it will last (bearing in mind my hair is mid-back length and quite fine)
*In conclusion*
Treat yourself, you won't regret it! I have very demanding hair and it ticks all my products! It's a nice surprise after my let down with the Bed Head products!
*Alternative ideas*
Consider buying just the conditioner and using it as an intensive treatment! I have said on a previous review TIGI make very few intensives for the simple reason their daily conditioners are as good as they can make conditioner (unlike leading brands that deliever sub-par daily conditioners). Buy it and slap a generous amount on and lounge for an hour or so!
