I was literally forced to enter the shop by a friend, well, now, I don’t regret it at all. It’s TK MAXX. I hadn’t herd of it before. TK MAXX sells designer goods at really affordable prices. Like an outlet village! Being a student I felt like I had discovered the gold cave of Ali Baba’ and his thieves!!!
Designer goods, we are all into it. Maybe because it just makes us feel good or because it has a known name on it! Let’s admit it: a Calvin Kline or DKNY pair of shoes is something I wouldn’t say no to. I ended up buying a pair of “his” trousers for £29,99 and two T-shirts (CC again) for £7,99 each!!! What a bargain!
The quality is good (which is also important!) and the prices are more than affordable. The shop is no place where you’ll be pampered with sweet talk or cakes and you’ll have to invest some time in looking through the rails to find the bargain, but it is a well worth experience!!
I have noticed that the girly cloths take the vast majority of the store, and I didn’t really pay attention to the male section… I am a girl after all and time is money!!! I did see guys in the store and a quick glance at their department made me think that the other sex is also catered for!
The shop has also a home section where I found (on my second visit… hihihi) a great duvet cover for £19,99. It also covers all imaginable things: baskets, curtains and toiletry… The lot at really good prices!!
And the shoes!!! Well girls, we are talking about shoes!!! We know the names from the high street and you have just to have a look at it! I sow a DKNY pair of sandals for about £29,99.
If you go during the sales, the items will be additionally reduced. One downside is the number of people in the store looking for the best bargains, and there is where you’ll have to be simply quicker than them!!!
The second annoying thing I can think of to the whole experience, I guess, is the time you really need to invest in looking trough the stuff but if you are prepared, you will have no regrets.
Back in London, the shop I went to was in Slough, I set down looking for the nearest shop. I used the yell directory and I discovered that there is one in Ealing and one in Harrow. So, if you live in London you know where to go. If you don’t live here, don’t panic, the directory came up with a whole list throughout the UK… Let’s see if there is one near you!
I know that these kinds of outlet stores are mostly open one month and then they close down because the owners cannot afford to run them anymore. Well, I will surely go back again and it would be a shame not to find it there!!!

Not the first place i would go to for clothes because a lot of it looks cheap and nasty. But what you said sounds good enough not to overlook them. Good op
